For the first time in three and a half years, former Barnesville municipal judge Henry Abreu is a free man and no longer under the supervision of the criminal justice system.

What does it matter where he lives Cats? He has a car, he can drive (sometimes on his side of the road), he has local phone numbers and addresses of women and girls, he has no felony record now, we have the same local prosecutor and Sheriff we've had for years.

Actually, I feel that young women might be a LITTLE safer if he's a distance away. Perhaps he'll get popped for another DUI if he goes trolling in his car. Although DUI's apparently mean less in his case than they do in the average citizen's case.
I don't always think the justice system fails, but in this case I do think this man has gotten some preferential treatment.
I'll certainly remember this at the next election.

Henry was arrested first in 2006. Buice was elected in 2004. That's 2 yrs under Buice's watch before he ever did anything about it.

I have a problem with a Judge in another circuit having the authority to vacate a charge after he was convicted by a jury. I have a money saving idea, lets just send all the criminal cases from Lamar County to that all knowing Judge for him to take care of. We could save all the money that we waste on such petty things as trials and paying lawyers for people who can't afford them. It's clear from this case that it doesn't matter whats right or wrong, just how well connected you happen to be.

Lamar County has no good judges. See the sorrier you are the better, after all look at the times certain people have gotten off for the things they've done. History has a way of repeating itself, so beware when its election time

I feel the Judge in Milledgeville, or wherever he is, should be charged with practicing medicine without a license. I think all this happening before the so called stroke, makes this more outrageous. You can see how 99% of the Lawyers and Judges give the rest a bad name.

If you read all the documents carefully you will see he released HA because of the prosecutor saying he believed it was not a valid charge.

I am a parent of one of the sixteen year old girls that he bought beer for.We were called for court, he plead.He was found guilty for breaking his oath of office.HE WAS PUT ON PROBATION. WHICH HE VIOLATED!!!!!!Never were we called for any of the other cases.Thank you Richard Milam. I see that you are hard at work.This really perturbs me to no end. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL ELECTION TIME.

Our DA initially got in office because he was appointed. He lost the election in Lamar the last time, but since we share him with two other counties he ramains in office.

HA also made numerous sexual advances to women around town. Despite his history two local political figures worked to get him out of jail when he was busted trying to take advantage of your daughter and friend. He has been doing this stuff for years, long before he ever had medical issues.

HA either knows just how far to take it or he has the goods on local people from some of his parties. Our DA is what we all know he is and we are stuck with him.

He was fine in LC jail until a week before court. He started crapping his drawrs and babbleing just in time to be sent to a mental hospital.
