some people can't afaird to pay for photos with santa. this town was not like this when i was a kid. it seems all it is about now is making moeny off people.santa is supost to be for everone not just the ones that have a lot of moeny i have two kids and last year they could not see santa up town becouse it cost to much and i guess they whont this year ether
I would think your children could visit Santa without a picture being taken or you could take it yourself. This is a community event and I think they would work with you anyway they could so your kids to see Santa. Even if they take a picture, you surely don't have to buy it!
do you have a color tv? You obviously have internet? Do you have a cell phone? Are your nails done? Is your hair all fixed up?
See where im getting at. If you arent talking about yourself i challenge you to ask these questions to the person or people that "cant afford" to pay for pics with santa. You would be suprise what people say when they are cornered and 100% in the wrong.
How about having a camera and taking your own pictures. I tell you what I will bring my camera, take your pictures, and write them to a CD for you. Oh no camera? You can go to any pawn shop and get one for 20 dollars if you have any food stamp money left. Stop wanting everybody else to take care of you and do something for yourself, and quit ruining my life. JBB
OH, and Google ieSpell it does it for you so you should have no problem with that.
1. Were your children denied an opportunity to visit with Santa and sit on his lap, or were they denied a picture with him? In my humble opinion these are two different scenarios. If Santa refused to visit with them, shame on him and anyone associated with that. If they were denied a picture,,, get over it. This service is provided by a business. Are you saying they should give their services away for free?
2. Obviously you have enough money to pay for your internet access, if you are so concerned about your kids, try consolidating some bills (internet is NOT a necessity) and maybe freeing up some cash.
I hope you're not teaching your kids spelling? Where did you go to school? Churches have Santa come and you can take your own picture, I think that's what United Bank is doing this year also, Sat. Dec 5th 9-12.
I remember when we had the big Bradford Pear trees in down town, the city would take the time to make sure the lights were in nice tight spirals around the trees and would prepare for the event for about a month. The trees the last several years look like someone just though the lights in the air and where they landed they stayed. It's very ugly and unprofessional.
Perhaps the person at the HG who approves and posts the comments is either sleeping or picking up family at the airport or taking a few hours off to decorate for the holidays also.
Is everyone a complainer these days?
In spite of your difficulties, I hope you find something to be thankful for.
Be sure to take a moment to thank God for the things you do have, rather than complain about the things you don't have.
Happy Thanksgiving.
I love to see the lights on no matter how they are strung. I think we are all blessed to have such a nice city with such great people, and this wonderful website and newspaper. I love you all and hope you have the best Holiday. More than that I hope you enjoy your life and are happy with yourself. Remember to watch out for your children, read to them, encourage them, teach them manners and to work for what they get, and keep them safe. No phone calls with non-family adults even if they are judges.
Where is the spirit " 'Tis the Season to be Jolly"? "Peace on Earth" and "Good Will toward Men (and women, alike)? It seems as though these few simple things have been replaced with selfishness and judgmental attitudes. I ask, what is there to gain from this? Yes, my signature describes just who I am, and as a Cancer Warrior, I am almost certain that other Cancer Warriors would agree with me that once you have been diagnosed with such a sickness and become a statistic with this enemy, it changes your aspect on life and a different perspective on what one may be battling in their life. A POSITIVE attitude would get you further in life than a negative. I CHALLENGE each and every one of us to take a step outside of the box and take a look inside and see how you might can make a difference this Holiday Season to bring "Peace on Earth". If only we could unite ourselves as one to make this world a better place. For those that may feel the urge to respond negatively to this post, I pray that God will soften your heart and Bless you throughout this Joyful Season as it should be. I wish you ALL (the positive and the negative) a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a Prosperous New Year! May God Bless You!
