The attack on Pearl Harbor (or Hawaii Operation, Operation Z, as it was called by the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters) was an unannounced military strike conducted by the Japanese navy against the United States' naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941 (Hawaiian time, December 8 by Japan Standard Time), which resulted in the United States becoming militarily involved in World War II.

Even Senator Reid said today that the GOP stands in the way of health care reform like they did against slavery. He apparently has drifted over the edge and become uneducated that President Abraham Lincoln was a republican. He has forgotten that when southern democrats threw elected blacks out of their elected office, President Ulysses Grant (another republican) sent troops down to restore them back to their elected positions. He apparently doesn’t know that before President Kennedy, the primary supporters of Jim Crow laws were democrats.
Leadership today is spending this country down the drain. We will not have any legacy to leave to our children. We will only leave them massive debt accumulated by a group of people that want to pass laws for everyone but themselves. They make false promises in order to remain in power while they make every effort to accumulate enough wealth and power to carry them over bad times that are sure to come. They promote fear in the people by pointing fingers at the people that try and present the facts by accusing them of being the promoters of fear. They prey on the ignorance of the common people and unfortunately the people won’t realize it until all hope is diminished while they await the promises made that will never come.
We don’t need to worry about a war coming to destroy our way of life. We are on a rapid pace to destroy it ourselves. The war will be from the power attempting to gain control of our lands and put the ignorant people under another form of government.
If people of today want to learn anything from history, they should study the American Revolutionary War. Then take a long hard look at what misguided leadership can lead to by looking at governments like Nazi Germany for example. However, many other governments from around the world exist in the past and today.
Where will we be in just a few more years?
I find it interesting that once again, it was the diversity within our country that became our greatest asset when face with such peril and another’s like minded narcissistic elitism that lead to their own down fall. The tragedy is the price we pay for such egotistical absurdity.

I think if we liken it to the September 11 attacks, it will help us see how monumental Pearl Harbor was in terms of the shock to the nation.
Thank your father for his service.
The Know Nothing movement was a nativist American political movement of the 1840s and 1850s. It was empowered by popular fears that the country was being overwhelmed by Irish Catholic immigrants, who were often regarded as hostile to U.S. values and controlled by the Pope in Rome. Mainly active from 1854 to 1856, it strove to curb immigration and naturalization, though its efforts met with little success. There were few prominent leaders, and the largely middle-class and entirely Protestant membership fragmented over the issue of slavery. Most ended up joining the Republican Party by the time of the 1860 presidential election.
The movement originated in New York in 1843 as the American Republican Party. It spread to other states as the Native American Party and became a national party in 1845. In 1855 it renamed itself the American Party. The origin of the "Know Nothing" term was in the semi-secret organization of the party. When a member was asked about its activities, he was supposed to reply, "I know nothing."
What I said you pinhead was that the people are going to have to take this country back, by force if necessary, and remove the arrogant, inattentive, in it for themselves leadership, that is in place now.
When government ceases to listen to its people then government ceases to exist. The majority of the current leadership should be stripped from their office and stripped of their benefits acquired while there. Turning their backs on the people amounts to treason and many should be treated as such.
For individuals to set in session and develop laws that pertain to everyone but themselves is ludicrous. That is one reason why social security is in trouble! Leadership doesn’t fall under it. That too is why health care will fail. Because those developing it will be exempt because they will maintain what they have. Far too many Americans want something for nothing or something someone else has to pay for. The majority of Americans are not capable of standing on their own two feet any longer and must have someone else do it for them. American’s are getting lazy.
PS Pinhead! Lincoln was a republican and so was Grant. That’s history you can’t change. It has nothing to do with the party system of today. It only highlighted what another party of today is attempting to do by relying on the people to remain in the dark and not know any better.
It's not the party, it's the people in them.
You know nothing!
Sincerely,
