UPDATE: (from the Monroe County Reporter): The victims in this accident have been identified as Angela Place, 33, of 261 Blount Road, Forsyth and Daniel Echevarria, 42, of 615 Hickory Ridge Road, Jackson. The accident happened less than a mile from Place's home.

Please stop referring to "911" as "E911"

There have been cases where kids, the elderly, and those not too bright have tried dialing "E911" on the phone, and not been able to reach emergency personell since the brilliant media decides to print it up like that so often.

"E911" is "Enhanced 911" Ok, we get it, big deal. No need to advertise it.

Whoever you are you do have a good point but still i dont think some people would really be that dang stupid to dial E911. thats means emergency 911 okay big dang deal people around here we know just to dail 911

E-911 is short for Enhanced 911. It refers more to the capabilities through the telephone company/companies. It provides extra information to help locate someone having an emergency. Say you work in an office with 500 people in cubicles. Someone could dial 911 and it could take a while for the first responders to figure out who out of the 500 people made the call. E-911 provides extra information through the telephone system to identify specifically where the caller is. (ie. 2nd floor east wall cubicle #151). That way the first responders not only know the address of the 911 caller, they know the "enhanced" information as well.

The two people had names.My sister Angie Buckner and her boyfriend dan.Sorry but i cant spell his last name. I can say he was one supper man. I could not have been more impressed by someone. I love them both and God knows how We will miss them.

Like I stated in the first post, "E911" = "Enhanced 911".

Ok, big deal. Why the need to advertise it? It still works the same for the end user.

And there are several documented cases of people trying to dial "3911" after seeing so many references (such as in the reprint story here) of "E911" and looking for the "E" (3) on the phone. I see no logical reason to refer to "911" as "E911". Nothing good comes out of it.

Wishing it was not true, but indeed I lost a good hearted cousin way to soon! Angie was a smart and very pretty woman who worked hard for what she had. She will be missed so much by her friends and family! I still can't believe she is gone, but never forgotten!!!

If someone is dumb enough to mix up 911 with "3911" then they probably dont need to be saved anyways.

Our hearts are broken. It's so hard to accept that our beautiful Angie is gone but I have a peace that her spirit is with Jesus.
I would give anything if I could take the pain from her mother, my precious sister.

But she was a Buckner before the resterant and my sister !!!! tHE GUY SHE WAS WITH IS NAME DAN ECHEVARRIA .His family could match any family out there even the Buckners !!

EXCUSE ME! But all I can say is I hope that no one in your family ever! is alone with a child and needs life threatening help... My 67 year old sister was alone at home with her 7 year old grandchild and she had a severe asthma attack and passed out, we came very close to losing her but we were very blessed the child dialed 911. Now it does not take a scientist to see what a miracle that was, for him to do that, we were lucky that he worried about his grandmother all of the time, he told us and, he said that he would go over in his mind constantly what to do if something happened. Even with him always thinking it, even when a grown person is in a desperate panic, things can get confusing for a moment. And moments can always make the differance in a life and death situation. So please get off of your self rightous pedistool and Listen!!!

HELLO.....Their are families that have lost their loves ones show a little RESPECT nobody at this point cares about 911 or E911 not saying that it might not be an issue but go to the sound off about it that will give you all a place to comment about that NOT HERE! To the familys I didnt no either of them but im so sorry for your loss may god be with you.

This is too all of the people arguing over something so trivial as this "E911." Look, my name is Michael Ingram, and I have to say you all need to stop posting on this page. I knew Angie, and the family. I stood over the very site where they both died yesterday. It is a solemn site, and in a way, a peaceful site. This posting should be for the friends and family of the victims of this horrible tragedy. Not for people to argue and act like children. Please no more talk about this crap and so some respect.

I am so very sorry for the lose of your sister.I knew Dan through my husband and briefly meet your sister at the Christmas party for the flying club Dan belonged to.She was a very sweet person and Dan was a great guy.May god be with you and your family during this time.You are in my prayers.

I didnt know Angie personally but I did know her from school and she was a very good person! I remember she always had a smile on her face and a hello for everyone she met. She will be missed very much. I am so sorry to hear what has happened to such a great person. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends of both Angie and Dan.

Hi Jason,
My name is Jackie and I used to keep a horse at Angie's house when I was much younger. I just found out tonight about Angie, and my heart goes out to you and your family. I never got to meet many of her family except her grandpa. She was a beautiful woman. She touched my life more than she will ever know. We shared many great laughs, lessons, and tears in her barn. If you or someone would provide me the information I would love to send flowers or anything I can do to help out. I know how much she loved her animals and her Smokey. I pray that God is with you and your family in this difficult time.

Ok, Not my last responce.Angie had a huge family.Her dad Randy Buckner and her mom Susan Ford of Bennett Moter Exspess. grandparents Jack Davis,Glen Buckner,Evelen Buckner.Brothers Jeff Ford wife Dawn.Jonny Ford,and me Jason Buckner.Their are about five others!She had a mirror child my daughter Kara Buckner that was her world.There will be a service for Dan at Sherrell/Willson/ m angram in jackson Tuesday at 7-9 pm. Seriouse people only or i will toss you out myself!My # IS 4044291038.Angie and Dan were one of a kind and to meet either of them for a minute would give you a lifetime of memories. No flowers please but angie loved horses and please donate to a horse rescue in honer of her!Yes she will be missed and Dan to. '' God opened the gates of Heavan for Dan and beining the Devil Dog Marine he was ' Love you Brother ' He said ladies FIRST! '' If you truely knew my sister i will ask all of ya'll '' Are you ok ? I had the great fortune to meet Angie when my husband Davis and I were guest at Bill & Susan's cabin in the holler. I don't think I have ever met a sweeter person. I know you will miss her terribly.

i didn't personally know Angie or Dan, I read of their gaining angel wings on my facebook this morning. For many many years my family was to found at Buckner's restaraunt on the weekends, I playing with Glen's monkey's, running the concession stand or babysitting for Cindy & David,my sister Tracey worked there in the restarant & well we all felt the love of the Buckner's & the Buckner's Family.Some people make such an impact on your lives that you never forget them & well to me that was the Buckner's!
Jason I have 2 sisters ~ i can't imagine what you are going through! Randy & Susan & Mr. & Mrs Echevarria i have 2 children & to you all my heart aches for you!!
Please if there is anything we can do, even if it is just to talk, let me know!

I spoke with Jason and he wanted me to let everyone know that they haven't set a date yet for Angie's memorial. It will be at Haisten's Funeral home in McDonough maybe next week. They are still working out all of the details. He is asking for any pictures anyone might have of Angie for a memorial slide show for her.

On another note, now that everyone knows Angie and Dan's home address, the best stuff has already been stolen. If you feel the need to come and steal the scraps, atleast wipe the mud off your feet!

I am terribly sorry to hear about Angie. I moved to GA in 2005 and lived 2 drive ways from her up until 9-07.
I had the pleasure of getting to know her and her cooking. Your sister is one of the sweetest gals I have ever met.My prayers are with you and your family during this time.

And Jason "no I am not ok" But I know she is!

I am outraged that it's bad enough that this family has been put through hell, but you have a newspaper that can't keep some of the details quite! It's like we can't catch a break! To the people that have took from the dead! You are being watched and you will pay! It might not be in this life time but you will pay when you pass and when you start feeling the heat burn you remember what you did to a family that has already lost so much!!! At least I know Angie and Dan are in a much better place then we are. I am so sorry Aunt Susan that you are dealing with all this. Love you so much!!!

Wow what a tragedy. I'm sorry for your loss and there has to be a special place in hell for someone to rob from the deceased.

I don't understand why their address is relevant in this post. Wouldn't it be sufficient to list their names and maybe the city they lived in.

To the publishers/staffers at the HG, would you want your full address listed in circumstances like this??????

You are all beutifull people!Thank you all for turning sutch a horrible thing into something beutifull !I know my gramer is not good but to those that matter it dont and to those that do it dosent! To those that think that they are not a part of this and are affraid to interfere espesily from the past ya'll need to know that a simple call brings up forgotten memories ! Thank you jill and mikele! And many others even if your call or email has not been answered. Keep calling.And to the person that knew use when we had monkyes ' YOU ARE FAMILY ! 'tHIS HAS BEEN AND WILL BE THE WORST AND BEST THING EVER! GOD HAS A PLANE EVEN IF YOU DONT THINK SO. I remember Angie from high school. She was beautiful, strong, and one of the sweetest girls I had the pleasure of knowing. I have thought of her through the years, and now regret I didn't do more to simply say hello. Buckner family, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. And also to the Echevarria family, I never met your son, but I know that if he was with Angie he was a good man. To the Buckner and Echevarria families... I am so sorry for your loss. I have known Angie for 14 years and I served in the marines w/ Dan. Angie was one of the sweetest people I've ever known and Dan was a fine man. God help you in this time of tragedy and you will be in our prayers.

Jason and Mrs. Ford,
I am Krista and I worked with Angie. I wanted you to know I am so sorry. Angie was a great friend. Although we did not hang out aside from work, we had a great time at the office. We ate lunch together many days and talked about so many things. Many days she would call and say...."I'm starving!!! Want me to bring us something for lunch?" and there were the special days we went to Dawson's so we could share fried green tomatoes. We talked about a lot of things and she mentioned you two and kara often. I feel like I know you all through her! I chuckled a bit at the fact that you mentioned "Are you alright" was Angie's trademark. You are so right! Any time she knew there was stuff going on with me, she was sure to ask me that very thing. And even when she didn't know, she could usually sense it and again ask me that. We did that for each other. I am missing her terribly. I will miss our lunches and our laughs and being able to talk with her about "stuff". She was a wonderful, wonderful person. I loved her and am missing her. You are so right about what God does with something that is so tragic. I am praying and watching, and he does love you. It's not all about being a "christian", but about your heart and loving people with God's love and showing it to those around you....and she did that and it seems that God is speaking to you through it all too, Jason. I am praying for you all. Keep looking to Him who gives peace that passes understanding.

Angie was such a good considerate girl. I have known her since she was in grammar school with my daughter.

We were all into the horse thing and have ridden many miles with Angie and Susan.

I cannot believe this has happened and will always remember Angie for the good hearted, horse loving person she was. She was one in a million.

I cannot imagine what Susan is going through and wish my heartfelt sympathy for her, Jason and the rest of Angie's family.

When we all passover, we will be sure to see Angie riding a good horse across that Rainbow Bridge to welcome us.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts of support and prayers. Both families are absolutely devastated by our loss. I am Dan's sister. We should have been born twins and were inseparable, Angie was also my best friend and we spent countless hours together riding horses and enjoying life with our ponies. I introduced Dan and Angie and they were never happier.
To 'Mom': I love you and I can't wait to ride together again.
To Jason: We are here for you and thank you SO MUCH for your support.
To my husband Mark who was Dan's 'other brother' and my mom and dad; one day at a time - together we will somehow survive until we see them again. My life will never be the same.

I am Angie's mother. I am just now able to post a comment, I have been consumed with grief and disbelief. My husband passed away on 03/11/09 and now my baby on 12/11/09. It has been a bad year to say the least. I hope no one has to go through what I and Dan's family have. Dan's family are the greastest people in the world - they have been and are still there for me everyday. So are Angie's friends and mine! I also have my family at the office who are always here for me, have been for 20 years.
I am not planning a memorial service at Haisten's funeral home, rather a celebration of life at a favorite place of Angie's & mine and all our friends & riding buddies. I will let everyone when this will take place.
I am trying to let all my family & friends get through the Cristmas & New Year's holiday and enjoy them with their families.
I will say this- do as Angie would and live life to the fullest. I have found out the hard way how quickly it can be taken from you!
One last thing in closing, whoever took her horses, I can only pray you will love them as much as she did & give them excellent care.

Is there really any logical, decent reason to print anyones home address in the media? It is not impressive, nor sensational, but rather an invasion of basic privacy, and an assistance to those to do wrong, as was evident in this case.

What good could anything possibly come from continuing this practice?

Irresponsible media to say the least.

you think that's something... a few weeks ago there was a story posted here. The family told PJC not to release names. So, they posted here a pic of the house with the MAILBOX and the name and address showing. I asked WHY they did this, Walter commented that they have every right to post pics of federal property (the mailbox) Sneaky, huh?
