Henry Wisebram died at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27 in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held graveside at Greenwood Cemetery in Atlanta at 2 p.m. today - Tuesday, December 29.

Wisebram was a second generation Barnesville businessman. The family department store, Wisebram's, anchored the downtown Barnesville business district for decades having been founded by Henry Wisebram's father, Elijah, in 1919.

Henry Wisebram was the pulse of Barnesville. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him and everyone who knew him, loved him.

He gave this poor girl a job when I was 15 and in high school and was so good to me. He was a true gentleman, it was an honour to work for him.

The Wisebram Family was one of Barnesville's finest in the business, cultural and civic life of this community. Both Henry and his father, Elijah, were generous with their time and resources and served our community with honesty and integrity for almost three generations. Henry was an important part of my life and the life of this city for many years. His counsel will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Deepest sympathy to Jeanne, Diane, Steve, Woodie and all the Wisebram family.

He will be missed by many, especially all those Boy Scouts he helped throughout the years.

Henry Wisebram lived in, worked, and contributed to the life of Barnesville. It would be daunting to contemplate Barnesville without the influence of the Wisebram family. Their friendship with my family has been something that I have appreciated all my life.
I remember and value Henry's encouraging and optimistic approach to life. My sympathy goes out to his family.

Henry was such a dear friend to many, many people and will be deeply missed. I simply can not find the words to express the sorrow of his passing.

I'm somewhat a "newcomer" to Barnesville, since I've only been here for 13 years. But I have heard from many people that Mr. Wisebram was such a wonderful man.
God is welcoming a true angel.

We have so many wonderful memories of Mr. Wisebram and his family. Our condolences go out to Jeanne, Diane, Steve, Woodie, his grandchildren and to everyone who knew him.

Will there be any kind of service held here in Barnesville? Even though his kids live in Atlanta, this is his home.

The Wisebram's have always been a part of my life thru their store. My Grandparent's Asa and Emily Denton often told me that they were one of the first customers at their store and they were loyal customers until they passed. My daddy always "traded" at Wisebrams always buying his suits, shoes and hats there. I remember running into my Dad on the street and telling him he had a new suit that would look good on him and my Dad would go in a purchase it, he always took Mr. Wisebrams word.
As a kid, I remember going to Wisebrams to see Santa. New York has Macy's, Barnesville had Wisebrams. Everybody was important at their store, it didn't matter if you were buying shoe laces or a dress suit. Mr. Henry was the tallest man in the world when he was kneeling down sizing my feet while I was sitting on the kiddie bench in their store. I bought my first pair of "Stacks" while I was in Highschool from Him and I bought my last pair of Florsheim shoes from Him. He always took the time to make sure you were satisfied and He always had a Big Smile on His face. I know I will miss Him and I'm sure He will be missed by everyone in Barnesville.

I will all ways remember Mr. Wiesbram. Bought a lot of cloths from him. He and Mrs. Wisebram are two great people. My condolences to Jeanne,Diane,Steve, Woodie and family.

thank you mr. wisebram for letting me have a credit account. you were a good businessman. if people would do right by their word, maybe we could have more business owners like you were. thanks for the memories.

he was a great man. i remember running through his store when i was a child and trying on hats in the funny mirror and he'd always come talk to me. He will be missed.

Wisebrams is a legend. A lot of Carter's and Aldora's money passed through there. My mom Celena passed me through there many times and Woolworths and WesternAuto in the early 60's.

There wasn't a Woolworth's in Barnesville. The dime stores were Maxwell and McConnell.

This tells my age,but I do remember the dime stores in Barnesville....

Maybe they were reffering to the Woolworth that was in Griffin
