Planning for the sixth annual BBQ & Blues is beginning to heat up.  The festival committee has begun to meet, the T-shirts are designed and the bands are booked.

Just got word the Mark Henson band wasnt invited to play this year.That stinks!Mark is one of the best guitarist in the area.We need to show case our local musicians.I thought Mark would be opening up for the main act on Sat. night by this point since he plays BLUES!.And whats up with the BUCKEYE BAND!Nobody wants to see a bunch of senior citizens playing classic rock covers that sound just like the album.Lets get some real local blues talent to make our BBQ and BLUES stand out.After all it is a BBQ and BLUES festival.Not a BBQ and whatever you want to play festival.

I could be wrong but I think the Buckeye band's lead singer is on the BBQ and Blues committee and thats why they play every year. I personally enjoy the Buckeye band but I think its time for them to step down and let someone else play for a change.
Is Mark not playing at all or is he just playing on Friday night?

I think Scott "BLUE" Leverett shold play. He could do brown eye girl all night cause that is all he knows how to play. LOL!!

I am gratiously thankful for being able to be a part of the Bbq&blues for 3 years.Id like to say thank you to everyone on the bbq and blues committee for all their hard work in bringing a wonderful festival to Barnesville and I plan to take in all the weekend events and enjoy the different bands.Thanks to all who enjoy listening to me play.I love music and cant wait for the bbq and blues!

Oh heck no , Mark Henson & band get the weekend geared up for BBQ & Blues on Fri nite. He should be performing on Sat nite uptown. Mark is AWESOME!!!:)
