The Transportation Security Administration is looking to increase the number of full-body scanners at U.S. airports over the next few years, as it reviews security procedures in the wake of the attempted bombing of a Northwest Airlines flight last week.
Yet another reason I refuse to fly, and not just because of this. I find it shameful that the American people have submitted to, and accepted being treated like a criminal by the government just to be able to board a privately owned airline and fly somewhere.
"When you forsake your liberty for security, you will have neither"
I love to fly and love to travel. Above all, I want to be safe and will do whatever I have to do in order to protect myself.
Unless you have something to fear, being searched at the airport, or being stopped by law enforcement for any reason shouldn't bother you so much.
That maniac Bin Laden is trying to ruin this country financially, and if we all decide to stop flying and traveling because of heightened security measures, then you're doing what he had intended.
Which do you care more about, your 'shame' or your life. The society we live in today has made it so that everyone has to be treated equally so shut up and take your medicine. If it meant the difference between arriving alive or not I would strip naked in the middle of an airport if that what it took.
How would you determine who gets scanned and who doesnt. It is a security measure and if you dont like it, drive! If you cant drive wherever you are going, stay at home.
I would rather get scanned or searched and have a safe flight than the govnt not scan people and there be a 70% chance that im on a plane with some psycho that is just waiting for the stop watch to hit 00:00:00.
