TIME has named Ben Bernanke person of the year for 2009.
Who is Bernanke you may ask? (Which, of course, I would respond with "Do you live under a rock?")

I think he has done an outstanding job. A lot of folks don't agree with the bailouts that were done to save the economy. It really did save us from going into a depression. Some think that we should have gone into a depression and started over. Everyone has an opinion. Doesn't mean it's right though. He walked into it, as did President Obama. Not that I'm a huge supporter of Obama but unless you are completely retarded and/or racist (for those around this blog)you realize this all started way before he got here.

Yes it began with Jimmy Carters Neighbor Revitalization Act which Bill Clinton made more liberal making housing loans to folks that couldn't afford them. That let the financial folks package these loans and peddle them to foreign countries via Wall Street while Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac supposedly backed them. Bush and McClain tried to get this stopped but congress voted it down. The next fiasco will be health care. That will fall out of notice as he makes airline security his big thing.

Selective amnesia strikes again... it seems to spread from republican to republican. I wonder what is in those tea bags.
