Officials at the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce are currently seeking sponsors for the 2010 BBQ & Blues Festival set for April 23-24, 2010.

I think it is obvious that more people do not want him than do. It is time for a complete revamp of the festival. Let's be open to change.

Mark Henson stinks, I dont know about his music but in the things I have heard about his life. He needs to take this time to get is act together

In response to 3.1 just want u to know that u are a spineless pansy, he is one of the most dignified men i know and if he had posted that he would have signed his name to it because he has balls unlike you!!! so it sounds to me like your the one who stinks, and has issues with your personal life! What does his personal life have to do with his music anyway? People go to concerts to here music, not here someones life story!!! U are a stupid idiot!!! If u have a problem with it i signed my name!!!!

I think the Mark Henson Band does a great job and I will miss their music this year!

Why is it that every time someone’s name is mentioned on this blog some anonymous coward has to bash them? It is obvious from reading 3.1’s post that they don’t even know Mark. 3.1 posted “from what I have HEARD about his life”. Why don’t you post your name and let’s see what people have HEARD about your life?

All you people that are blogging about this are stupid and you need to get a life!If any of you think you can do any better why dont you try getting up there on stage and try doing what mark does!He really enjoys playing for you idiots that wouldnt know a good band if they kicked you in your face.Like it matters who plays cause all you idiots worry about is how drunk you can get and how you can show off your gay golf carts with your stupid blinking orange lights.So lick my lowest hanging one and shut your mouths.

I was unaware that playing music at BBQ and Blues was only for those musicians who could pass a rigorous background check. If that's the case, it's a wonder anyone can play.
I only know Mark on a very surface level. He's always nice.
I have heard him play and think he's worth listening to. I would certainly make it a point to attend BBQ and Blues if he was in the lineup.
I am hoping I don't have to pass the same background check one person posting here has subjected Mark to- I probably wouldn't pass your high standards either.

I heard Mark will be playing at Jersey's Friday Jan 29th. I also have heard on the street that there is a big announcement coming soon about bands being added to the BBQ and Blues Festival.

My daughter got a flyer at Jerseys on Friday or saturday night about an 1980s prom or something in addition to Mark Hensen playing at Jerseys on the 29th. Should be cool night. Maybe cheap beer too like in the good ol days.
