Tiger Woods re-emerged into public life Friday, issuing another apology for his infidelity at a closely scripted event and affirming he will play golf again — he's just not sure when.
Speaking before a small group at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse and a massive television audience, one of the world's most-recognized athletes repeatedly told his family, sponsors and fans — in essence, everyone connected with him — that he was sorry for his behavior.

Besides, WHO CARES??? Go play golf, sheesh.
This man is, or was, an icon to many young people, to the minority population, and to golfers.
As such, he had standards to uphold. All eyes were upon him and he was paid an enormous sum of money by his sponsors because they were backing the image of the clean living family man who happened to be a golf phenom.
He broke vows, betrayed a family, betrayed his sponsors, betrayed his fans, took money under false pretenses, and flaunted his behavior, thinking that he was beyond the rules.
He needs to make BIG amends to way too many people here.
And it would be a nice gesture if he would use some of those millions he earned to create a homeless shelter, a drug treatment facility, a foundation for inner city youth, something.
I do believe he is sorry, but the fact remains, he would have continued his double life had he not been caught.
I generally leave people alone to live their lives as they see fit, as long as they're honorable. He is not an honorable man.
Tiger Woods is one of the worst types of cheats. If I were Elin, I would have taken one of his golf clubs to his offending part and put him out of commission for the next 2 years.
His apology is only the beginning of his making amends.
He would still be going strong laying pipe if he wouldnt have got caught.
This is an apple and oranges comparison.
Tiger chose this format. I'll admire his skill on the course but I never did or never will "believe" in him.
What a request by St. Eldrick.
