Lisa along with some of the other board members where doing a good job. They would not allow the commissioners nor Wayne Patterson to control them. Thats why they are no longer on the board. Wayne Patterson along with a few commissioners will be the down fall of Lamar County. Taxpayers need to wake up see whats really happening in the Lamar County government.
You are so correct #2 and the voters should not forget who the leader of the commissioners is at the present. There is at least three of the commissioners that need to voted out.
Less services with more taxes,,,,just like when Patterson was in Clayton County,,,,

you know the saying...... when you can't make it where else you can make it in larmar county. just join the lamar county mafia.
the old sheriff of clayton county will probablly run and get elected too.
i believe its true that this is all about power and has nothing to do about performance. you can bet i'll be voting for a new chairman and a new commissioner.
Patterson thinks Lamar county citizens are just
country hicks. But I believe the citizens see straight thru his double talk. We all need to take a stand this time when we vote and make some changes to Lamar County government. Its time to make this a great place to live. (Not so much politics)
#2 you are crazy ... favors being done for family members, heads being turned to those who were illegally getting tax breaks. The job was not getting done. As a taxpayer in this county I expect my commissioners to address those issues. I guess maybe it's Lisa's family and friends who are posting these comments because everybody else knows the true story. I only see one commissioner who needs to go now, the one who took up for those who were not doing their jobs!
The problems facing Lamar County are the same problems facing every county in Georgia when it comes to evaluating property taxes. There are very few people who can empathize with Lisa...and I can name them. It's the few people who had her exact same job before her and the few people who will fill that job when she is gone. Like I said when all this started, Lisa is a good person in a tough situation. I think she handled herself very well through the whole ordeal.

You are good at making accusations but I for one don’t know the person in question at all. I guess that means I wasn’t getting any of those special favors. Of course you could be angry because you wasn’t getting any either. Sooooooooooo……..being that you are so much in the know about how this lady performed her job, why don’t you point out some specifics and specific people that were courting favors. You apparently don’t like this individual and the people that got something that you didn’t. So it should make you feel good to see these people get what’s coming to them That way we can investigate the alleged criminal activity and prosecute more white collar crime and you can sleep good at night knowing that you were instrumental in solving the case.
Or are you just all hot air without sustenance to back-up your words so bravely spoken under the anonymous label?
Me thinks you just may be the Joker trying to stir the old pot. What say ye Joker man?
why do a few of you think she did not need to be certified? that was the reason she was removed. she did not take the required training and she and Linda tried to cover it up.
It's my opinion that the people who have lived here all their lives need to take a chance and hire people who come from elsewhere and are not related to everyone else in town.
Just because "he knows my mama, they went to school together" doesn't mean someone is the right person for the job.
Yeah, I've run into this more than once here.
It seems many of citizens do not understand the function of the Board of Commissioners, the Board of Assessors and our County Administrator.
#1 if the Commissioners did some illegal, please enlighten the public with your information and knowledge of the illegal activities. Put up or shut up!!!
#2 you are either ignorant of the facts or plain stupid. The Board of Assessors of which Ms Dziedzic was Chairman is a quasi-autonomous board under the broad direction of the Department of Revenue in the State of Georgia. The Lamar County Commissioners appoint the members and the appointed members themselves elect their Chairman. Once appointed the Commissioners have no control of their day to day activities. As exercised, the Commissioners can recall a board member for cause; however, the recalled member has appeal rights to Superior Court. Ms. Dziedizic chose not to appeal her recall. Her choice!!!
Mr. Patterson as County Administrator role is limited to consolidation of Board of Assessors budget into the overall budget to be considered by the Lamar County Commissioners. The Chief Appraiser and his or her staff report to the Board of Assessors not to the County Administrator. Mr. Patterson has no control concerning the function of the Board of Assessors or the Chief Appraiser and staff.
On budget matters the County Administrator works with all department heads, both County and Constitutional Department heads. Keep in mind that the Sheriff, Probate Court, Tax Commissioner, et al are elected officials and the County Administrator provides support on budgetary and personnel matters, but is not the final authority on these matters. Very simply, the County Administrator works under the direction of the Lamar County Commission. He does not have any voting or taxing power.
#4 your comments are void of knowledge and intellect. Mr. Patterson spent many years in Clayton County and retired as Director of Public Works. As a Clayton County employee he had no voting power concerning budgets or taxes.
#5 Your comments are those of an ignoramus. I have never heard or heard of Mr. Patterson demeaning any Lamar County citizen. Have you??? If so, come to the Commission meetings and file your complaint, otherwise speak wisely not stupidly.
Well said #12! You are up on matters and wish more good citizens like you would speak up more often. Lisa did not appeal because she knew that she was wrong and would not win on appeal and this would take all the thunder from her and her few backers. I know for a fact she looked into making an appeal but was advised that her chances were slim. I have known her for many years living here and she is not fit to be on this board or any. She cost my friend from selling thier property years ago when she was working at Cox realty because of her lack of professionalism.
I can tell you don't know to much. Lisa did check into the lawsuit but it was to costly. I dont blame her, I would not have wasted my money fighting these crooks either.
