You can see it on the roads and highways, where drivers either don't know or don't respect the rules -- and courtesy is certainly the last thing on their minds.
You can see it in the schools, where the government feels it necessary to feed the children not just lunch but breakfast, and where teachers and administrators are counselors, cops and more -- all the responsibilities of parenthood and none of the rights.

Politicians, Lawyers etal should be used as an example instead of being let off for their indescretions. Then the little guy on the street will know that there are penaltys for misconduct, and impoliteness. Unfortunately many organizations encourage impoliteness. and that is a shame, because it is a disease that grows, and doesnt get better. Just like seeing an actor getting killed on an episode of a TV program, and showing up on a later episode. Dead is forever, and alot of people fail to understand that.

It’s interesting the church is mentioned in this article. It’s my opinion traditional religious teaching is the problem and has failed the family. It seems to be stuck on the abstinence approach to solving teen pregnancy. It should be obvious to who does read this article tthis practice just isn’t working. On average it’s the innocent and docile traditionally reared teenage girl who gets into trouble compared to the street wise teen who can see through the bull of smooth talk and a well place smile. Back when the scriptures were written a woman was stoned to death when pregnant and unwed, now the mother just goes out and gets stoned.
I agree police are not the enemy but I do understand how they can be perceived as being an adversary. When the police treat all citizens as criminal even during routine encounters and dress paramilitary they take on a very intimidating perception. Law enforcement seems to be more interested in the big bust and generating revenues by crime profile fishing than earning the respect of citizen.
look at the mentality in the black community.getting an education is looked at as trying to "be like whity".why go to school when you can stand on the corner chunking dope for the man!after all one day you gonna be a "gangsta" with all yo bling.
now lets move on to the white boys.why go get an education when i can get on at the "plant" on the second shift.or better yet why dont i just cook up some meth or bust in some houses and rip some folk off then i can head back to my trailer get high and beat my ol lady while i dream of being dale earnharth.
people this ain't rockt science!keep your nose clean gat an education,show up for work everyday dont get pregnent at 17 and beleive me life will be so much better
I am certainly not a prude, but I am really confused by the lack of foresight and planning in some people.
Step 1. Teach everyone that we simply came outta nothing. No God. No afterlife. No accountability. No responsibility.
Step 2. Give government hand-outs to a bunch of people to encourage their support for big government. Pay for their food, housing, healthcare.
Step 3. Immerse children in a godless, humanistic culture called the 'public school'.
What is the dividend? Children who grow into irresponsible adults who care about nothing but themselves. Look around. The casual observer of today's 'family' should be scared to death.
Start by shacking up.
The 'father' generally is a drunk or drug user or both. He does beat his 'wife' who really is nothing other than a night time convenience. The man of the house is chronically unemployed. Basically he's useless. Ladies, got one of these? Free yourself and get rid of him.
Now, the 'mother' of the house today often is trying to keep her home together and may be the sole breadwinner while 'bonehead' sits home. She frequently wishes her 'husband' would stand up and be a man but it never happens.
The police are always 'visiting' this type of family. Fights erupt spontaneously in the street in front of the house. Yelling, screaming, gun shots - all are part of their wholesome family life.
Meanwhile, their children are being brought up in this diseased environment. Someday, they'll be just like 'Daddy' or 'Mommy'.
The new 'family' can be any skin color. The common denominator is the fruit of their life. It's just plain rotten.
Sin has consequences. When the family turns its life over to Jesus Christ and makes a commitment to bringing up their children in the admonition of the Lord, society will improve exponentially.
Are you living in a family like the one I described above? Mom and Dad, grab your children, get a Bible, and join a fellowship of Christian believers. Ask the Lord for forgiveness. Start a new life with Jesus Christ. Watch how He leads you out of darkness and into a wonderful and meaningful life.
