Accused killer in court today

Mr. Geiger,
I will start this post by telling you that I subscribe to the Herald Gazette and I check your blog daily. I enjoy the service you provide to this community and on the whole I think you do a good job.

My concern with the web page is the pictures you attach to the articles. I do not pretend to know your business, maybe the pictures are supposed to be over the top in order to attract attention to the story.

This person is displaying an obscene gesture and you in turn are posting this obscene gesture for all to see.

Maybe, we have all become jaded. Maybe, because we see it all the time we think it is O. K.

I am of the opinion that obscene is not O. K.

If you described the gesture instead of publishing a picture, would the information given be lessened?

There are other examples of questionable pictures but this is the one that drove me to write.

The continuation of the pu**ification of America. I think this photo needed to be shown to show the disrespect of law and decency that this woman has. Turn on the TV any given time and even more obscene stuff will be shown. If you don't like the image then simply exit out of the webpage.

The statement below the picture states that Ms. Clark is showing her contempt for the judicial system. Was she directing the gesture towards the Judge or any other officer in the courtroom at the time? More than likely she was directing the finger at the camera. I think that this is another example of opinionated press as opposed to fact based reporting.
