Liz Cheney doesn't hold a seat in the United States Senate. She doesn't have the power to call committee hearings to intimidate those who dare disagree with her. And she isn't practicing her demagoguery in an era of widespread fear of an existential threat. Nevertheless, she has slipped easily into the role of Joseph McCarthy.

I give the writer of this article a lot of credit for not bringing up the fact that she is gay. Unfortunately I'm not that upstanding. I think it's funny she is a member of a party where most of the members would like to publicly humiliate her or drag her behind a pick up truck.

Wrong daughter of Vice President Cheney, Liz in not he daughter whom is gay.

I agree with Betty, I think Liz has a great future ahead of her.

Anytime I am looking for UNBIASED political commentary, the first person I turn to is Cynthia Tucker,,,NOT

In my humble opinion, she is nothing more than a cleaned up version of Cynthia Mckinney

Of course that's my opinion, what's yours?

Dont get all excited. Dick Cheney is an easy target. It was a gimmie.

I'll try to look at HG in a whole new light. Cheney has lots of oil money to help rewrite history. Father & daughter have done enough damage to our country and constitution. Again trying to scare you. Don't let them.

Ok. I have to give the HG a gold star on this one. Not that I agree necessarily with the article or it's content, but it's worth acknowleging that the HG has actually published something with an anti-conservative slant for a change. True enough thought that most conservatives are bashing Cheney on this too, but it is still a breath of fresh air from our hometown news mogul.

It's good to see consistency from our name calling, liberal friends. I guess when Cynthia got fired from her job as editor of the AJC opinion section in less than a month, she needed some therapy so she writes an article that consist of nothing but personal attacks and calling names (sounds familiar doesn't it.) I guess for liberals, personal attacks and name calling are the equivalant of a drinker having a beer when he gets home from work. If a lawyer, who was working for free (or close to it), picked out pedophile only cases, wouldn't it be prudent for someone in authority to ask why. Apparently, the Cheney's think that no one is asking why these lawyers are seeking out these specific terrorist cases and for national security reasons want to know why. What's wrong with that? But of course, this is standard MO for the liberal media, including Cynthia Tucker, call names, attack personally but present no evidence to substantiate your claim. The truth is the best part of Obama's presidency, as of last week, is foriegn policy where Obama is pretty much following Bush/Cheney protocol. But after watching Biden get his face bloodied while in Isreal last week, I now know what foriegn leaders think of Obama and apparently, isn't much.

Why does anybody give this woman any credibility? Her authority is only by her has been father, yet many think she has a following in the GOP. She is only a mouth piece for hire and if given any real authority could become as dangerous to humanity as her ole man.
