Lamar County beat non-region opponent Taylor County Friday night at Aldora Field, 11-2, behind a five hit, complete game performance from senior pitcher Marc English.

Also, I believe Marc was only one 'K-O' away from having double-digit K(s) in the game. At least that's what the guy sitting next to me in the 'Wreck' golf cart proclaimed... (insert-wink), lol.

Lamar County Middle School Boys track and Field came in 1st place in the region beating out Pike county,Carver Road, Cowan Road, Kennedy Road, Monroe County, Crawford County,Upson County and Butts County great job guys!!!

Oh, there's plenty more. They'll want to get a copy of the H-G on Tuesday to get filled-in on the offensive fireworks that was a part of the game.

That's interesting... Sometimes they run out of room, and have to decide what gets printed, and what doesn't...
