Have any arrests been made?

An official at the school/church in milner was supposivly texting an underage female. Investigation is ongoing.

On the flip side of things, there are "insiders" saying that there is more to the story than was is being told right now. Some people are split up that wasnt even mentioned in the initial allegations. Their wifes know something that hasnt came to light publicly. This comes from members of the church and relatives.
Stay tuned as the drama unfolds.

Liberty Christian Academy is the "church" and they are planning to change their name because their current name is linked to these allegations. I believe when they change their name, the entire community should be made aware of the new name and the past allegations against them. I've had dealings with this church and I can only describe them as the most unholy dealings I've ever had.

You have obviously not read the bible at all. I have several times and no where in the Holy Bible does it state a woman should be executed for speaking in church. Paul addressed this issue because the women of that day would interrupt the service. So he said that women should be silent in church. But we know the custom of men and women were different in that time. I do not agree with what has gone on here. It looks to be terrible. But before you comment about the bible you should read it first.

By the way.... the new name of the school is going to be Olive Branch Christian Academy and the name of the church is New Beginnings .....It's no secret and I am sure they are prancing around proud as can be 'cause this kind of stuff (controversy) fuels their fire. They think in their own deceived minds that they are going through persecution and that all of this is making them stronger Christians. I just wish they could see the truth... that they are all being deceived. They look to the man in the pulpit as their leader rather than to the one TRUE Savior, Jesus Christ. They truly are deceived and pretty much brainwashed and they believe anything their fearless leader tells them as the gospel truth without ever questioning them; however, the second anyone questions the leadership, they are then seen as an enemy and are pushed out. Sure they preach the Word of God, but it is tainted and adapted to fit whatever circumstance is going on in their lives to make them right and everyone else wrong. They teach teenagers and even young Christians that they are to ostracize themselves from those who are not “on their spiritual level”. Teenagers have been told to stay away from the sinner, even to stay away from kids in their own youth group because of certain “spirits” that they may have. (this is concerning because I don’t understand what the point of church is to them if they are not trying to reach the sinner and help them but rather stay away from them). Teenagers are taught that their parents are just “landlords”, and if God says “walk down the street and witness”, but mom or dad says not tonight, then by golly you better do it anyway. You will very rarely hear them speaking positive about someone (unless it is someone in their inner circle, and yes they actually do have an inner circle inside the church, although I believe the only one that has actually called it an “inner circle” was the Bishop who I am sure after reading this will deny ever saying that). Instead, you will hear them trash everyone else, even people in their own church. Not only do they gossip and trash people, but they do it in the pastor’s office, church foyer, around their children, at the school where children can hear them. Yes, this is very true. They sure enough preach about the Holy Ghost, but they throw the name Holy Ghost around so much that it takes away the sacredness of who He is. So, yes, they are very deceived, but they do believe that everything they do is in the name of Jesus and he approves of such behavior.
Those of you from that church that are reading this, I say this not to hurt you, but to open your eyes to the lies and the deception that is going on around you. I know you are angry for hearing someone say this about your church that you love so much. But I ask you to look at yourselves for just a moment instead of everyone else. Many people have left that church, but did you ever stop to wonder, “hey, why is it that the leadership always bashes and has nothing good to say about anyone that has ever left the church.” Maybe there really is a good reason why they left. Maybe they knew something you don’t know and they weren’t as “messed up” as the leadership made them out to be.
It is truly sad, and we should all be praying that they will see the truth. We should all be in much prayer for this church and school, not that God would "get 'em good", but that they would see the truth and get their souls right before it is too late. Really, really sad....

All this goes deeper than the initial allegations. People are seperated and/or getting a divorce.
The pastors family have distanced themselves from him. If this was all hearsay why wouldnt they stick by him through all this and move on. They know more than the law enforcement is letting out. All you have to do is watch them and it will tell you a lot.

I wished someone would post some information about this mess. I keep hearing things about Rock Springs but noone post up any facts. I dont go there nor have i ever went there but i am very curious as to what people keep talking about.

It appears to me that this with the G.B.I. is just smoke and mirrors. Why would they have them process a computer in a case involving text messaging? Wouldn't it make more sense to have them process the phone? Just a thought.

I think you are confused. From what I have read, the people who have said that something is to this investigation have seen or heard something for themselves. I for one hope that the allegations in this case are not true, but the public has a right to know who these allegations are against because it involves a church and a school. These are places where innocent children could be easy prey. If they are not true then the public needs to know what prompted this investigation. (again, because of what I have previously said) To shroud this investigation in secrecy serves no ones' interest but the ones being investigated which is why you are starting to hear talk about Barnesville politics. I have never seen a case involving a child at a school and church handled like this before. It is my understanding that when you have a case like this that the only information that you keep from the public is the info. that could be detrimental to the well being of the child. You release the rest so that if their are any other victims or people who have any additional info. about the case they will be prompted by reading it to come forward. That is why many believe that this case has not been pursued like it should. As far as your comments about the blogs, they are not even close to being as nasty as you portray them. It seems apparent to me that you have some sort of affiliation with the people of this church or school. Also, it seems the height of hypocrisy to me for someone to read a blogging site, and comment on it by blasting the other people commenting on the site and the editor in charge of the blogging site. If you don't like something then stay away from it and don't support it, but don't utilize it for your purposes and then blast everyone else who does the same.

As someone who works in the field of child sexual exploitation, I commend Sheriff Waller on turning this over to the GBI who can investigate the incident without prejudice. I think it is appropriate to withhold certain details from the public & defendant (until discovery) in order to preserve evidence in a continued investigation. Also, there are legal ramifications for people who slander a name without proper proof. However, I do think if charges are filed and the case pursued further, it should be front page news with the defendant's picture, name and place of said incidents along with every possible detail as to how this occurred in the first place. This should be done in order to inform the public and bring forward more witnesses/victims. I also hope anyone that knew of ANY sexual misconduct at this place comes forward. If they do not, they should be held accountable for this as well through legal means. This is not about reputations, this is about the safety of our local children. I don't care what religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, nationality, etc we should all agree that no one should be sexual with our children and we should ALL stand together to fight any predator that threatens them in this way. If the people at this church care, they will want to get to the bottom of it as well and should welcome all investigations and have nothing to hide and the man accused should be willing to submit to a polygraph. Arguing the innocence of the accused gets you no where because the truth of the situation is that no one is with anyone 24/7 so you can not report without a doubt that someone did or did not do something. Let the evidence speak for itself. The GBI does a great job and if he is guilty, he should be very nervous.

No, I think you are the one that is confused. I was responding to the person (#22.1.1)who was defending a grammatically horrendous blog (#22) by pointing out one extremely common grammatical error. Granted, I did believe that it was the same person and I still find it hard to believe that it isn't. That is unless.....hey, you wouldn't happen to be a fellow teacher at that "school" defending the teacher there who hasn't graduated high school yet would you?

I was referencing the newspaper printing information that is not confirmed/ can not be confirmed. Newspapers can only go on what they are told and you just can't expect law enforcement to make detailed statements about an on-going investigation. I think the original article, and this one is appropriate. No one has to get technical with me about what exactly "sexual improprieties" are before I start doing everything I can about protecting my kid JUST IN CASE. Your job as a parent is to protect your kids always, not to protect your kids when you are sure beyond a reasonable doubt they need protecting.

I hear the people who run the church are making life hell for the young lady who had the balls to report this.

People who work with kids should always avoid EVEN THE MERE APPEARANCE of impropriety. I applaud this young lady. I hope she doesn't let anyone persuade her to stop listening to that gut instinct. Never let anyone shut you up. You scream to the top of your lungs if you have to.
