Local vets enjoy DC trip
Some 30 local veterans of WWII enjoyed their trip to the memorial in their honor in Washington Wednesday.

The story said this was a trip sponsored by the Rotary. Why do you say Barnesville should have paid for it? Oh, I guess you can't read - my bad.

Why should the city pay? that is tax payer money. They have things that are up on the priority list than sending the vets to Washington. Im really glad the people got to go. That is great. I am glad that a private orginization paid for it. That is the way things supposed to be ran. Let the private sector make things happen. Leave the city, state, and federal govnt to have control over very few things.

Okay, Tax payers paid for that big nice auditorium that gets used twice a month. I wish that money would have went somewhere else.

One of these men flew over 150 missions over Germany in a bomber. All we get of of this is who paid for it. A simple thank you would be sufficient. For anonymous it is a reason you choose to be this way. Deep down inside you really don't get it. The city did not pay for it... move on. Find something worth while to type.These men came from a generation none like this self serving people of today. They liberated the world in four years. We cant even kick Afghanastans ass in all of these years. Go for a walk quite typing stupidity.
