First, ugly dresses is two words. Second, they were not ugly dresses. All of the dresses were stylish by today's standard. The girls were beautiful and the boys all handsome. I went to Sr. Walk and I didn't see any dresses that I thought were inappropriate. I also didn't witness any bad behavior on part of the students during the walk. Kudo's to the Junior class, Mr. Austin, Mrs. Davis and all the faculty who worked to give the Senior's a nice prom and maintain order and decorum at the same time.
It never fails that people have to leave negative comments about high school students. Please let them be able to experience this annual tradition without your negativity. Just let them be who they are.
first of all! my cuzzin dress was not ugly! DO NOT hate. and second i am very sure what you wore to your prom was ugly! please do not judge ppl dresses! cause they did not wear them so that u could like them! so unless u paid 200 dollars for the dress! SHUT UP! thanx
The dresses were ugly especially the pattern dresses with the pleats they were not at all elegant or pretty. I was very disappointed in their choices. Prom is suppose to be an evening of elegance this years prom sure wasn't judging from the way these young ladies were dressed. Oh well better luck next year...and how did they pick the queen????????
The current fashion trend is print designs and pleats. I don't think the students need a fashion committee to scrutinize their taste choice in clothes. If the dresses were not to your liking, that's fine; however, do us a favor and keep your comments to yourself.
I wasn't at the prom, but I heard it went really well and there weren't any real "behavior" problems that society deems "typical" of today's teens.
Try and be positive about what these kids are doing. Quit being negative!!
Umm the theme of the prom was "Seaside". Most of the dresses were themed with the whole beach thing. So those "elegant dresses" that you think you should be there, wouldn't go with the theme. Besides, they are high school kids. It's obvious that some of these people on the blog are the ones that need to grow up. Probably didn't get invited to their prom, or sat home this past Saturday night because they didn't get invited to this one.
Being negative ummmmm I don't think so....and behavior has nothing to do with fashion...stay on one subject....I have a right to express my opinion thats what my people fought and died for...Thanks and have a good day
Wow...so many horrible comments from the adults of Lamar County about our students. I am sure that those students would look at our prom dresses as ugly because fashion changes over time. Girls, you looked wonderful. Don't let idiotic adults ruin what I'm sure was a wonderful night. Adults, can you ever just support our kids? They will never succeed if the adults surrounding them don't offer some encouragement.
thank you for the NICE things yall said i went to the prom but they didnt but all the pics up so wait tell you see every one before you open your big-mouth and say mean things that have nothing to do with you unless you were that person or bought the dress then shut-up
I guess I have a right to express my opinion as well, right? These girls picked out their own dresses and I'm fairly certain they liked them (or else they would not have bought them). If you were so disappointed in their choices, maybe you should have posted a number where they could have called you and asked your opinion about the dresses they bought.
You didn't shop for them, buy them, wear them, etc. Leave the girls alone.
Deja! Prom Queen! yes, yes, yes, yes!! She deserved it,Bre isnt even popular! Deja is all around an she is a pretty, well shaped young lady! im jus saying... lmao
de'ja deserved to win after all the bulls*x% our principal has put us thru the prom was enjoyable && every dress was pretty by today's standards times are changin ppl we as a generation dress differently than ppl dressed before sum things are comin back && new trends are constantly formin why dnt yu take a look at an up to date fashion magazine before your overgrown self gets on the computer && leave such negative comments. how immature childish && stupid of you!UGH! SMH AT YOU IDIOTS!
Reading this comment made my head hurt. Learn some grammar while you're still in school please, and quit worrying about what people are saying here on the blog.
You must be in AP English? Your writing style is so clear and your ideas are expressed so well. I bet colleges are lining up to admit you next year...we can be so proud of our school system because of students like you!
i do not care who won but do not put my name on here at all. and for your info i most be known very well from how that night turn out. every one was saying my name so... she may have got the most votes but who cares besides these people gettin on here saying stuff i'm happy for her i just felt bad that every one was saying my name. i no that was not a good look for her. but please grow up.
i don't see why everybody is making such a fuss over prom, if you didnt go then why you worried about it... && Deja is a great prom queen.. so theres no reason to fuss about it. There was alot of cute dresses & alot of cute dates.
