The Lamar County sheriff's office has issued a lookout for two missing juveniles who may be together in a stolen vehicle.

The missing pair are 12-year-old Rhiannon Nicole Smith and Joseph Wassill, 16. The pair are thought to be together in a stolen Dodge Caravan bearing Georgia license plate BIJ1725,

These two kids are dum if I was their parents when I fount them they would not be able to c each other and would b grounded for life those kids are out there with out food or water no telling where they are what were they thinking? Where were the parents at at the time they left? The kids should be b taken away.

wow! i was one of Wasill's only friends! he always seemed so sad and depressed! he texted me Friday morning around 4 o'clock saying how much he hated this place and thought he would go to Canada! I didn't realize how serious this was until i saw this article! Well, i hope everything's okay!

OMG...if you were their parent...when you "fount" them...maybe they could teach you proper GRAMMER!! blech!!...all smart alec aside....hope everything turns out OK for the best...kids that age do not use their brains..just their feelings...feel so bad for BOTH set of parents....Please bring these babes home safely!!!

As a single mother I can only imagine what the parents are going through & the hurt and fear they feel after these 2 teens ran away. Although the age gap, and non-approval of their relationship, there are other ways to approach the situation than refusing these 2 kids to see each other. I don't know either of them personally but I have family members who do. If either of you read these, please just go home! Your family and friends are worried about you both!

OMG.just thursday i sat with rhi at lunch cause mr ritch made us have assigned seats. she was always depressed and didnt feel good. & me & ashalei and jordan and cami talked to her but i had NO idea. i mean robin said she had ran away but i couldnt believe it. and now theyre found in tennessee. omg. what has barnesville become? this is so freakin weird im like shocked. mr ritch is gunna pee himself monday. i cant wait for tommorrow. what a weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know kids seem to think that money grows on trees and that
parents have a endless supply. These kids planed this out just
because they did not like having to do chores or follow their
parents rules. I also think a parent should not have to lock up
their belongings at night to keep a teen from stealing thier belongings. The keys were stolen from the parents around 4 in the morning, along with money and other things for their little so called trip. They were found in Alamo TN. This is a very sad situation. They planned this out together, and now the boy is going to be facing charges for it all and the girls mother has wisked her off to another state and is patting her on the back for a job well done. The way the system is set up the parents have to support the charges I know her dad does but her mother seems to just want to raise another outstanding citizen. Unfortunately the sheriffs department can not file charges with her mother holding out. I will say well done to the sheriff's department for the way that it has been handled up to this point.

Just so you know the parents were asleep when the car was stolen. Making the statment that the kids should be taken away who are you to make a statment like that. Do you know these poeple or kids. Your kid could runaway as well. How would you stop a kid who sneaks out after you go to sleep with your keys. Do tell. Or do you just not sleep at all. What a stupid comment to make not knowing anything about the sutiation.

Well if you teach your kids right from wrong and show them LOVE then maybe children would not want to run away! Children these days are left home alone while the "TODAYS" parents are out enjoying themselves, but when you gave birth you committed to a life time of love for that child, but these children must not have been shown the love. You cannot only blame the children in this case there are a lot of children out there who don't get dinner at night but they don't run away!!!!! I say look into hte homes of these children and see what or where the problem lies!

In some cases this is true but in this case you are full of it. This was all about a kids being stupid and thinking they were grown. I see kids these days that break the law over and over but there parents who think it is showing how much they love them do not allow charges to be pressed "OH MY BABY WOULD NEVER DO THAT" If kids were allowed to take the punishment for the mistakes that they made they would learn from them. There is such a thing as though love. Looking at the kids now days who are disrepectful and have no manners and think that they should get what ever they want something is missing and I don't think it is love. For the most part you sound like this kind of parent. I may be wrong but hey if we protect our kids form every reprocution what do you think will happen when they are out on there own.

Wow my parents had a alarm and guess what I just turned off and went out the door and turned it back on when I got back. Now when they checked the times the alarm was cut off and on I got my @ss beat. If you don't want someone to get out of a house build a jail. But that would be illegal to lock a kid in.

i do we were in tennesee looking for his sister and we found his sis's friends instead and well we left and ran out of gas then i called my mom and she called the cops cause the guys house we went to for help was kinda creepy i didn't like him

well, i think that they were in love...and see love can make you do crazy and unbelievable things...!!!!...im glad that they're home safe, but see he's 16 and she's 13....and they're crazy for each other...have you ever heard of teenage love...??!!!

I am really proud of the quick to judge folks. I can really sympathise with the parents because it happened to my wife and I. One of my sons stole my car during the middle of the night as we slept also. He pushed the car appx. 250' to get to the road. His reason was because I was on him pretty heavy about failing at school. We studied with him at home, but he just did not want to. Talked till we were blue in the face, to no change. The point being, is you can love them, try to teach to the best of your ability, provide what you believe to be a good foundation for future,and their well-being,and still have this kind of problem any-way you turn. You people who are calling for juvy,jail,or getting the law more involved,---Chill---,This is the best way to ruin what will be left of a life when the boy gets out of where you want to send him. The law, it seems , to have done their job well,and in a timely fashion.Now all of you quick to jump people let the parents handle their children without your quick to judge mentality. Easy to throw a rock--aint it. By the way, the son I am talking about, turned out just fine, still hardheaded but O.K. I am not so sure how it would have turned out if I stuck him in juvy like some of you knowitall folks seem to think that is the only option. It's up to the parents now not to give up and still keep trying. It may just turn around for the both of them.

both of those children were very loved and very well taken care of!!! they got mad because her parents refused to let them see each other because of the age differences she's 13 years old and he's 16. they ran away so they could be together, which was a very stupid decision and very dangerous but it had nothing to do with the parents!!! both of the kids parents were in shock and had no idea somtething like this was going to happen!!! both of these kids had very good parents and very good homes, how in the hell is it the parents fault?? THANK YOU...... amber, RHIANNONS SISTER!!!!
