Judge Christopher Edwards has ordered Griffin circuit district attorney Scott Ballard and circuit public defender Joseph Saia to investigate allegations Judge Paschal English had an inappropriate relationship with a public defender who argued cases in his courtroom, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

What is happening, our Judges are corrupt? Does this explain all this unreasonable plea barganing, since, as I understand it, the Judge has final word on a plea bargain. Hmmmm. Makes the Public Defender look good, and the DA look bad. It is all coming to light, in my opinion.

this guy gives motovational talks about his experience with surviver the show he was on and comes off as a role model. I bet he wishes he was back on that island right now. He spoke at the civic center recently to the local big shots..i justa soona stayed home and drank...than listen'd to his bull$heyeet.

Oh please, Johnnie Cladwell's most recent ex-wife was employed as a secretary at the DA's office for years while he was on the bench.

Sorry, I wasn't clear... she was his current wife at the time. While Caldwell was on the bench his current wife-at-the-time was employed at the DA's office.

Everyone who works in the Griffin Circuit knows about the relationships between English & Cornwell. There was recently a circuit gathering and the two was hanging on to each other like they were high school sweet hearts. It disgusts me because they have families they should be concern about. If you talk to some of the local sheriff's I am sure one or two can talk about times the two was found in the back seat on some dirt road. This is really really stupid, these are suppose to be adults with the ability to think rationally. They both should be disbarred. Any attorney in the circuit knows that in order to get a good plea offer from English, you should make sure Cornwell was around. It hard to give her clients a favorable sentence and not give it to the other attorneys. Compare the sentences from English before Cornwell came. English and Caldwell fall in the same boat. Every new skirt tail in their court was game. Its unfortunate Mrs.Cornwell didnt figure that out before now. She was certainly not the first. Maybe she had her agenda. Fayette county needs to be rid of this type of behavior. Its a good thing those two Judges are gone. We need impartial, fair minded folks on the bench. Not Judges who decisions are based on who they are sleeping with or who they want to sleep with. We should all remember that Karma is strong and kicking!!!!! Do what you want to, but be ready to suffer the consequences!!!!

Ok..so I'm sure I'm gonna get all kinds of racist accusations from this..but I'm gonna ask anyway. From what I have researched on the web..David Cornell is black..but I could not find any photos of his wife Kimberly Cornwell..does anyone know if she is also black?

The color of the attorney's skin doesn't matter. A skirt is a skirt. These men do not care about color, character, reputations, families, children, etc. They just want to satisfy their lust!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tommy Wilson is a good man and I would be totally shocked if he were found out to have done anything of this nature. He has a beautiful wife that he adores. I'm not saying that it is not possible just that I would be shocked!

who cares what they do. If you stay out of trouble English's decisions don't affect you, whether they are impartial or not. And who wouldn't have an affair with Kimberly Cornwell she is smoking.....and I hear her husband is a jerk.

Caldwell and English now are unable to give stiff sentences, as a matter of fact they may get something stiff soon in Jackson, Ga.
Meet the ones you put there for smaller crimes and as they say... You do the sin, you go to the pin!

I think Scott Ballard is another one who should be investigated birds of a feather flock together, thats how they got English off the bench in our daughters case who declared it a mistrial and caldwell brought it back on the bench and she got 85 years in prison for something she didn't do. yes they were not lilly white but they didn't do what they were accused of.just let the accused defend themselves.The good old boys are getting their just do.

Ummm...please...we're laughing at her for cheating with the good 'ol boy. Perhaps she thought it was her way to the top...unfortunately now she's just a butt of jokes. Pardon the pun...
