Rise in crime, fear of ban cause surge in carrying of concealed weapons
In light of the recent homicides in Lamar County extending to other parts of Middle Georgia the feeling of helplessness and insecurity have grown considerably.
I only have one small comment to make regarding the phrase "...fear of a government crackdown..." The word 'crackdown' means cracking down or reducing or stopping a negative action or behavior. There is nothing negative, bad, or otherwise non-positive about law-abiding citizens purchasing firearms that they want and can afford.
IMHO, I think a better phrase would have been '...fear of additional gun-control laws...'

I agree with you. Crackdown, after further thought, is not what I meant to say and I wish I had had you around at the end of last week to help me choose a better term.

However, when listing out his feeling on 2nd amendment laws during his campaign he referred several times to "growing up in Chicago."
Perhaps he was referring to a figurative growing up that was meant to be coming of age rather than literally growing up.

That is absolutely absurd, FACT is, when you are in fear for your life, calling for help and then waiting just doesn't cut it in a violent confrontation, but the more intelligent of us understand that.
