A three-car collision on Hwy. 41 north of Barnesville at its intersection with the Hwy. 36 bypass injured three people Monday afternoon.

I just dont understand why people dont pay attention while driving. If you have the steering go out in a vehicle or a blow out thats one thing but 99.9% of all of these wrecks are cause by careless drivers.

Accidents happen. It is what it is. When you have 2 roadways coming together at a hill, these things happen.

The intersection is wide open , you can see North and South bound on sr42 and the access to 36 bypass is well defined.i am curious as to what the cause of this tangle is.I was making a right turn onto 36 bypass , as the ambulances were being loaded...I've observed that drivers now are doing everything BUT paying attention to their driving..too sad

last time i checked there is no hill at this intersection... it's carelessness

Accidents happen. Period. We live in a world where GPS's, cell phones, and ipods, are in everyones car. The more gadgets we have in the car the higher the distraction level. I'm not saying that any of those elements were factors in this crash. But I imagine that many accidents happen because of all the extras we have in the car with us. America needs to step back and take a look at our carelessness. And our nonchalant approach we take at driving a 2 ton vehicle down the rd at 70 mph. We ignore speed signs and trafic laws. We text, we blare our music as loud as it can go, some even get behind the wheel under the influence of God only knows what. And we are shocked every time something happens. America needs a wakeup call. The 100's of people you hear about dying on the news every night accross the US is our wakeup call. Its already here. Respect the laws and respect the life God gave to the other people driving on the rds with you.

Carelessness or maybe a cell phone is the culprit! I think that there should be some kind of deterent like maybe so much static that makes it impossible to use a cell phone inside of the vehicle. But there are so many distractions in a car that should not be allowed like tv's and sometimes music that people don't pay attention to what is going around them that cause the majority of the accidents. Don't get me wrong cell phones are very convienent but there should some limits to their use inside of a vehicle.

text,
talk on the phone,
put on make-up,
eat a burger,
type on the computer,
read a book,
or anything else I can think of except drive.

When the keys go in the ignition, my head magically goes into my butt and I drive like an idiot.

Not saying this happened in this wreck..but sometimes they have the music so loud they aren't paying attention to anything else. I was driving behind some girls few weeks back..and they were dancing around in the car. you can't give your 100% attention to what is going on if you are doing things like that. Hope all in this wreck are doing fine

And sometimes a set of circumstances set off a chain of quick miscues that result in an accident.

If you would believe they could insert a hill then I am wrong. I was being sarcastic as I know there is not a hill there.
