I was in B'ville today around 5pm and didnt' know about this funeral. I was at the train track near greenwood st. and saw many firetrucks coming out of the road to the cemetary. I was wondering what was happening. I also saw lots of people dressed up walking from the herald gazette building over the tracks to the 1st baptist church, but no cars around.
Thanks, Walter for the beautiful photos. Britton was a true hero, and the ceremony is fitting to his heroic battle with cancer. God bless all firefighters, EMT's, and police officers around the country. God bless Britton's family!
Sad to hear of his death. What a wonderful way to honor someone like Britton. I'm glad that his little girls will know what an impact their dad made to the community. He was a great guy and put up a courageous fight. RIP and God Bless the Cauthen family.
Brit was a great friend and mentor to me. He was my Lieutenant and was always ready to help at a moments notice. I may have moved but I will never forget him. God Bless your family and be with them in this difficult time.
