The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has posted a story highly critical of former judges Johnnie L. Caldwell Jr. and Paschal L. English Jr. on its website. The piece labels the circuit as 'judiciary run amok'.

I understand there have been problems and so forth, but honestly, who cares what the AJC says? They have an opinion just like anyone else, weather it be fact based or not.

And state court judge Sid Esary's daughter owns the ZSI probation office in Griffin. Dear ole dad sentences HUNDREDS to probation, neatly filling the daughter's bank account.

Conflict of interest... Just maybe...?

You would be totally suprised if you knew all of the conflicts of interest involved with who owns businesses that are used to provide services for offenders in criminal cases or services provided through DFACS.. Alot going on that you really have to dig to find the benefactors and board members of these places HELPING others..Alot of them contribute to elections of their HEROS

It would really be beneficial for whoever wrote the above comment to do their research first. Judge Esary has no daughters. Also, ZSI Probation is not only located in Griffin but Barnesville, Jackson, Stockbridge, Lovejoy and more locations. ZSI probation was founded by Walter Zant (hence the "Z" in ZSI - it stands for Zant Supervision Incorporated). Do a little more research and you will see that he retired from Jackson State Prison where he was the Warden of the prison for over 20 years. Keep researching and you will see that the Judge is not related to anyone in the probation department. All of the employees are not even from this county or any nearby counties. Valuable lesson to be learned: take everything with a grain of salt. Use Google, it can teach you alot.
