Fittingly, she was buried amid weeds, wildflowers and kinfolk in the ramshackle graveyard at Beulah Baptist Church in Pike County.
They lowered her simple casket into the ground next to that of her husband, Ed, who grieved himself to death some years back.

I've always been fascinated by this case and it's outrageous that her killers weren't brought to justice. What or who are the people of Barnesville afraid of?

How many 'unsolved' murders/disappearances are there in cold case files here???
Also, I remember in the late 90's there was a former dispatcher that was a suspect in one of these cases. He admitted to killing previously unidentified transient and then as I recall he committed suicide or died soon thereafter.
Does anyone remember the story behind this?
I sent this article to The Thomaston Times and I notice that it is in their paper this week. If I were the Lamar county sheriff, I would have this posted in the lobby of the sheriff's office. I would NEVER let this case get cool and certainly not COLD. Because, if we, as Donna's county, neighboring counties and state allow that to happen, then we have ONCE AGAIN failed Miss Beulah and her family. Thanks again for remembering the important issues. God bless Donna's family and damn the guilty one(s) who took her life. If not on Earth, God will still be their judge. Whether it be for keeping it secret or doing the dreadful deed. You are terribly guilty in either case.
