Memorial Day is for honoring, remembering and celebrating America’s departed Soldiers and all of her service members.  Truly, this is a time to set aside the cares of the world and worries of the future – a time to look back in gratefulness and bring briefly to living memory the fallen heroes of our country: the men and women whose service and sacrifice have kept America safe and free.

The government is the problem. We can replace most of them this year. Then we can boot out the illegal aliens. Last we can get rid of the blacks and whites that think they deserve something for nothing. Then we can say we are taking our country back.

If youy don't like it well then bite me. We're coming after you.

Thank you, General Britt. Your words help remind all of us, even "Joes Necksred," that Memorial Day is not about barbeque and beer. Perhaps Joes Necksred should reread your piece every day until he understands it and until he understands America.

It is you, The Snarky Georgian, that just don't get it. You never will. Before you accuse someone of not understanding America, you need to know who it is you are talking to. The officer may have already been involved in battles to protect the American way and can see what our country is turning into.

You say the government is the problem and you want to elect new people to serve in the government (which is the problem to begin with).
What makes you worthy of deciding who is a "true" American? I think a true American is one that does not believe he is the only true American.
Maybe get out of the sun for a while, Joe.

you cant argue with ignorance. we watch fox news to get the truth. even the media that had a slobbering love affair over messiah hussein are starting to turn on him....it is fun to watch the liberal trash devour one of their own!

If you are watching FOX news in order to stay informed its without a doubt you don't have a clue about what's going on in this country. You need balance reporting and there are very few sources that provide such. There is the liberal adjenda and then the conservative where as the truth is somewhere in between. Good luck finding it. Hint: follow the money.
