Vandals have been targeting the signs erected by volunteers welcoming visitors to Lamar County’s Johnstonville community.

to the punks who have nothing better to do than to destroy things Get A Life! We don't need lowlifes life you in our country! Why don't you put yourselves on the frontline in Iraq and serve your country instead of destroy it!

This is totally rediculous!! What is wrong with people today? They show no respect for anything or anyone. This is just another sign of the modern generation. They don't have any respect or disipline so they think that it is okay to vandalize, steal or do anything that they want to and not have to pay for their actions. I hope that the vandals are caught and punished for their stupid actions. They should be put out by the side of the road to clean up everything that is dirty.

I hope whoever did this rots in jail for a VERY long time! It looks like negroid graffiti, and not very good graffiti at that.

those signs look very old and they look as if they cost some money but this is typical in the summer months teens are out and about destroying things

Vandals are more often than not Young adults ranging from 16 to 25 They should be held responsible for their actions. Most are put in jail or on probation for a while. If they are ever caught, they should have to pay restitution for the expense and be made to do the work to replace it. Usually then they will have more pride in the part they played in Making the city look beautiful again.

I think zebras did it. Black and white boys - with emphasis on the word "boys"! A mature person would never do this. An intelligent person would never do this.

An irresponsible coward would. So even if they are older - they are still boys with a yellow streak down the back.

It shouldn't be very hard to find out who this is.....The name is tagged right on the sign with the affiliation on it as well. I don't know what type of gang task force Sheriff Waller has there, but anyone that has even seen basic gang script can realizes it's a tag job and bad one at that.

This is typical of today's generation NO RESPECT FOR ANYONE OR ANYTHING. Yes if they are caught they should be put out beside the road in the orange jumpsuits with Heres your sign around their necks saying "BOY AM I STUPID" With their names in bright red paint.
Someone toilet papered my mailbox a couple of months ago Thanks for the toilet paper I was about to run out!!! I also know who did it because they were jealous of something that I had and they didn't.
