There's only one problem with being sentenced for being stupid, there are thousands just in Lamar County alone and there is no cure for stupid.

That certainly seems like a light sentence to me. A little community service might have been in order as well.

I bet if you look close enough you might find that someone else that worked there (management) had been "skimming" money for several years but because of their connections with local law enforcement, many of the questionable actions were overlooked.

To start with Melissa where were you educated ?
If you are going to speak English then do so---
The correct way is to say "People are so ----"
NOT "people is so----", Typical!!!!
Maybe next time you decide to plan a robbery you will take some acting lessions and play the part.
I am old and don't have an education as well as I wish I had but at least I can speak English.

Your so right Mellisa. Please do not pay them any mind. Just try to do the right thing and move on. God gave you another chance for a reason. We're all human so we're all going to make mistakes.

That is what I see in the Lamar, Spaulding and Upson area. We make too many excuses for these kids and we give them a out in the name of God. God didn't give her a second chance. I don't think god would have allowed her to be so stupid to rob a Subway and then give her a wake up call. Please people, stop using god as a out. Again, parent start parenting and stop making excuses for stupidity. She haven't learned anything enticing the people who are commenting on her stupidity to say it to her face. I guess God want her to whip up on everybody and be violent? The God I know doesn't embrace this type of behavior so I'm insulted that someone would associate this bad person with God..

This sentence may be seen as light but that's because you are all looking at it as a now effect.

This sentence was not so out of the ordiniary. What is wrong with trying to give a person a second chance. She will have learned something or she won't.

The real punishment will come from trying to find employment now. How she deals with that will be the test of having turned away from crime. Will she be honest and inform her potential new employer or will she lie in attempts to cover it up?

she probably won't have an issue with a new employer b/c it was most likely plead down to a misdemeanor since she just paid the money back and 12 months. She can put anything she wants on her next application and unfortunately all subway can say by law is her dates of employment and if they would re-hire her or not. I'm sure she will say she left for personal reason or some crap....I highly doubt she will say she tried to rob her last employer.

Melissa, so happy that you posted on here to show how you've learned a lesson and are contrite and hope to show everyone that you've learned a powerful lesson and are humbled and appreciate the 2nd chance.
