The official Georgia code provides that a person commits the offense of child molestation when he or she does any immoral or indecent act to or in the presence of or with any child under the age of 16 years with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of either the child or the person.
I believe the sex offender registry should list the ages and sex of victims, along with the offender's work location(s). Statutory rape between teen love birds should either be off the list or on a secondary list.
Lets say Joe Blow is convicted of child molestation of an 10 year old girl. People know he used to watch Sally Sue after school when she was 10. So people put two and two together and assume that Sally Sue was the victim. If that the information you think should be listed just gave away information that can be used to trace back who the victim was and now what happened to her is no longer a private matter. What you are suggesting is wrong on so many levels.
