Lamar County school board member Ryan Christopher has been injured in a traffic accident.

Why in the hell would you report that someone was in a traffic accident in Taylor Co. It doesnt matter what position he holds in Barnesville. If he or his wife was critically injured, fine. That is the most obsurd thing I have heard in a while. Would there be a breaking news story if Sam Brooks was in a fender bender in Fulton Co. Absolutely not.
Ofcourse everyone will want the best for him and glad it isnt serious but come on.
At what point do you gain status in Barnesville to make the headlines on petty stuff that isnt serious. Granted this could have been serious but thankfully it wasnt.

Rent house? Mid Georgia Ambulance move to the new house "rent house". Not fire station. New Mid GA Ambulance headquarters in Barnesville. Wow.

why would you want only positive comments. If someone has a negative comment about someone fine. Its kinda like the Obama admin giving you all the postitive info or fibs about a certain bill they are pushing but not telling you the negative parts. The news should be non bias.
If there was a child molester that made the cover, would you post negative comments about it, or should he allow negative comments but filter the positive ones that are encouraging.
As far as his parents. His father was a pretty good man. He was one of my teachers a couple of years. We were bad and mean but he was a good man reguardless. His wife on the other hand. I showed my ignorant side quite a few times around here.

The News is usually more negitive then positive, I suggest that you monator what and where your children read their info...
And just for curiousity what children like to read the news?????

I'm all for freedom of speech but Walter enough is enough. The above post needs to be removed. This is insane this is no more than an unsubstantiated allegation. School starts back next week and kids read this nonsense, this allegation could have a negative affect on them. If this person knows this to be true they need to handle it in a different manner instead of just a blanket statement such as this. I'm truly appalled and saddened that you have allowed this statement to remain.

Thank you to all of our friends, school family, and church family who have been diligently praying with us today. Ryan was driving to work in Americus early this morning with two young men who have been working with him when he veered into the median. Trying to correct and get back onto the road, the truck skidded, spun and went airborne. They grazed the top of the guardrail sideways heading towards a very steep embankment. Still airborne, they went about 50 yards, where the truck landed nose first and all of the tires came off. Ryan's head hit the windshield and the front and back windshield shattered, allowing everything in the back of the truck to come into the cab, including tools and saws. Ryan lost consciousness for about 7 minutes, but the boys were able to walk out. Eventually all three were able to walk themselves up the embankment and into the ambulance. The boys required some minor stitches and Ryan was evaluated for broken bones and a head injury. God is SO good and had His all over them today! The state trouper told us that they should not have walked out of it and he didn't understand why and others were telling us how lucky they were. We understand and it was not luck!! It was very much God! Thank you again for all of your prayers. Continue to pray for his full, quick recovery. Ryan is not one to be down for long and he's already talking about going back to work and teaching on Sunday!

As for all of the people making negative comments, we will be praying for you as well.

you don't know him ! get over yourself ! its not your daddy ! come on ! limp noodle ! if it was your daddy you would be concerned ! he is a great man and if you have nothing to say nice mr don't say anything at all ! we don't need your comment !

To Anon #6.2. My son who is 17 reads the news!!!
He is also the son of Ryan Christoper. So if you want to talk about it give me a call! Also, I can see you don't even know how to spell so maybe you should be checking out the dictionary instead of The Herald Gazette.
