Four Barnesville residents are in area jails on multiple counts after being arrested in connection with a string of air conditioner/copper thefts.

I think that if they are found guilty, the EPD should impose the fine for releasing the freon into the atmosphere. At one time the fine was up to $10,000 ????? (not positive)

Put them in a cell without air conditioning so they can see how it felt for all those people who they took it from!

Jerez is a good kid, anyone that knows Jerez knows that he is. Jerez I am not sure how you ended up in all of this mess, but I wish you the best and hope that this comes to an end soon. I hope that this is a learning experience that you never repeated in life.

I’m not sure what’s going on with these folks but I bet it has to do with drugs. This, in my own mind, could be the only motive. To have such a total disregard for the property of others, and to completely discount the hardships placed on good people buy such irresponsible acts, this could be their only mindset….to use the money to buy a fix.

Such ignorance, apathy, selfishness and with no self respect. What a shame.

This is one case where the fear of God could do some good.

No. This is a case of laziness, pure and simple. They don't want to get out and get a real job, so they steal from those who do work and pay taxes to support them...while they sit at home.

At least now our taxpayer's dollar won't be buying steaks for their pets b/c their foodstamps won't buy Alpo.

Amen to that. I was one of those who suffered on my first day of a new job last week with no air. It was miserable!!!

i wonder if they took mine...

simply because i know at least one of these people... i'm so freakin glad my a/c unit went to such a great cause!(if in fact it was them that took it)and it wasn't food... thats paid for.

and i have a question.. aren't scrap yards supposed to get picture ID before buying metals like copper.. for this very reason? i thought i saw that on the news last summer when this was happening then.

Picture ID and they cut a check to the person. No cash on copper or catalytic converters.

That might be how they caught them.

I don't care if they are red yellow green or blue if they were caught stealing then they should be punished by what ever available.
Criminals are criminals and they should answer for their crimes. Don't blame one person for this they are all guilty. Everyone has the freedom of choice. If they choose the wrong thing then they have no one to blame but theirselves.

Well, all I can say is I think this is hilarious! Finally this so called "Family" is getting what they deserve! Tracy Faron is the laziest person I know, I've seen animals do more than her! She has been this way her whole life, well the whole family except 1 of her sisters she's nothing like them she finished school to become a nurse, has a great husband, & 2 great kids!

Can we get an update?

With all the A/C thefts from Churches, homes and other places it would be nice to know what these guys get!!

They get $50 of copper and cause $2500 of damage.

my mom joseph and fred are all anoicent but thease people one here just whant someone to blame for whats been takin of theres so they blame it one my family,ive been locked up for the same thing and its stuped for my bro and my homeboy fred to be sitttin in jail for this abut u know what i dont understaind is how can my mom lift an a/c unit and take it shes tiny well thats all i gotta say 4 right now and btw,im in foster care that makes me mad....
