Imagine, if you can stomach it, the final torturous hours of Donna Ogletree Johnson.

Those hours of brutality were much longer than we were all originally led to believe.

Please let it rest folks. Every family have experience this situation and the local newspaper is not running a add about there loveones. Is Donna family better than the rest of the cold cases in the county? Please let her rest in peace and as you god fearing belivers will say, God will take care of whoever is responsible if you truly think God in a fair god. Stop the madness and ignorance.

After all of these years and multiple people holding different positions in Lamar County, you actually think they All are trying to protect this person???? I don't buy it. I think the only reason they continue to speculate on this is to MAYBE pressure someone into presenting this case to the Grand Jury. It has been 26 long years and for this theory to be correct, all of these people that are hiding the killer have been able to keep their mouth shut...telling no one!

Donna would be proud that we are all fighting for her and that we are doing all we can to bring justice to her case. If there is no justice in our lifetime; there will still be justice. We are going to keep fighting for her as long as we are able to do so and we will be encouraging as many people as we can to help us. Thank you Walter for all you are doing. We are truly appreciative our your efforts. We will not let it rest and we are not going anywhere.

I think its great that someone is bringing light to this murder and maybe just maybe more facts will come out.

the ann morgan case wont come to light because of the ties that the morgans have to the old money of lamar county.thats why you hav'nt heard that much of it in the past.

I am tired of the people who keep writing that they are tired of hearing about the case... let it rest and so on.... If you are truly tired of reading about it quit reading the posts. The majority of the citizens of Lamar, Pike, and Upson want this case solved... No human being deserves to go through what Donna endured...So some of us will keep on posting our plea for this case to be solved... I would suggest if you are truly sick of reading about it find something else to do instead of coming on here telling us that you are tired of it.

No one is stopping you. Why do people such as yourself proclaim the power to speak for others? Don't start blaming God, which I expected to happen sooner or later. The Bible scriptures demand that people should abide by The Law of the Land. It is up to us as voters to keep the law honest. There is a time to die..that is what my Bible says..but it wasn't God's time for Donna, because she was murdered......and it is time for the guilty to pay for that crime. In fact, it is 26 years past that time. Just think God will let that/those people suffer even more than Donna. Like seven times as much...that is a lot of pain someone can look forward to.....you can pay here or pay later...it is probably cooler in jail. But I hope you skate on by because Hell lasts FOREVER. It is really sad to consider that the punishment may be passed on to someone the murderers love. Yeah, just keep quiet and pass it on to your children. Feel better?

Someone posted about her. She was found in a dog pin and they wrote that it was made to look like a dog mauling. They posted she was raped.

Ok:

26 or so years ago, this poor girl was murdered.

Several Sheriffs and DA's, etc. have reveiwed it over the last quarter century, and have not been able to make a case, none of them have arrested anyone, and all of them had an opportunity to do so, tells me there was not enough evidence. (duh)

This has recently gotten very extensive press coverage locally, and generated debate, which is not a bad thing.

So now I ask, what else has been found out, or is newsworthy that is making this stay forefront at this time, for so long? I'm not saying to simply forget, but this continual reassessment of the same thing over and over has gotten ridiculous, and has now resulted in so many people rolling their eyes when they get a paper or click on this website, because it gets old to see the exact same thing week after week, with a different title, and has finally gotten so ridiculous on here that it is simply a portal for attention and to degrade our current elected officials, whom simply inherited this case that apparently they have reviewed with other authorities as well, and believe that it is currently too void of facts to sucsessfully prosecute.

All this time and debate later, what is new? What has changed? Why is this still the top story week after week?

It is unfortunate, but this whole "continuing coverage" thing has gotten ridiculous.

If it were your family member would you want it to be subdued??
It has been 26 years of pain and misery for the family and it should not be swept under the rug. Have you thought of that?
You would probably be standing on a street corner shouting until they found the murderer/murderers. We should never forget because this person/persons is still free if not dead (God I hope if they are dead it was painful} and this could still very well happen to your family or any other family.

I just read all the post. It is SAD. This young lady was someones wife, sisiter, friend, family and child. For all that doesn't understand why people can't let it go. Think of this young lady as your friend, family, sister or child. How would you feel. I wasn't born when this happen but I have heard and read about it. It breaks mt heart. She was treated like a dog by MONSTERS that now and have been COWARDS for years. In my opion open the case up let all evidence be seen heard. Let new eyes see everything. You can't tell me all the years they have not had something leading them to some MONSTERS. May GOD help finding these monster.

The way Donna suffered is horrendous and evil. She was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. Her killer was viscous and evil. He had some reason to be so monstrous...he had motive and it wasn't random...it was personal. I realize that people grow tired of hearing of this case, but our family has lived with the knowledge of her suffering for 26 yrs. now . with no justice in sight. I thank Walter for pushing this and hope that someone will let this end..with an arrest! This person has had an opportunity to live his llfe with family and friends..watched children grow and graduate, marry... He caused Donna to lose her right to those same things..Please don't stop pushing for justice for Donna

Evidently you missed this little set of comments....just for example. Having the job for twenty years is not necessary to keep specific cases low on the priority list. To bad Mr. Cloud did not tell who knew about the murder.

The deputy that had the leg brace, if you look at the composite drawing and the deputy, I can't remember his name. He confessed to killing a person on his death bed, the body was found in an abandoned house in Milner. All of these events happened around the same time. The fact that it was a Lamar County deputy might explain why every administration has ignored what facts there are. Law enforcement take care of their own, even incompetent ones like Waller.

No, I can't remember his name. He had black hair and cheesy mustache. He worked mostly at the old jail. The thing is, he confessed to killing one person that we know of. Marion Hood worked that case until he finally identified the victim, which took years. The composite drawing that was in this paper made me think of him and I haven't lived in B'ville for over 20 years. Since it was in this paper and someone had the time to research Walters’s archives they could get the deputies name and the name of the person he murdered.

Disclaimer: It is very difficult to find any information on this case (or has been for me anyway). So, this is only hearsay, rumor....Her body was found in Pike. She was put in a dog pin (probably after she had already been killed) to cover the true cause of death. I hope Walter's articles result in justice for Donna and I hope when that happens, he'll work on this case and the Morgan case.

I believe the poster said that it happened in Pike Co. Although I can't find anything on it. 1984 was a bad year, Donna Johnson,Ann Morgan, the murder in Milner that Cloud confessed to... seems like there was something else. For some reason I want to say the man that use to have a pawn shop was found dead also around this time??? And the "Farm Accident" on Gordon Rd???????? Geeeeezzzz It's been soo long.

What is reality really? Is it what you see through your eyes? Does it HAVE to be what you see through your eyes??

What is normal? Is it the values your parents instilled in you?? How easy it would have been for you to be born in a different time to different people. Your whole life would be different, maybe even your God. But out of everyone in the whole universe, you are the only one that has a clue, right?

It happened in Pike County on Patton Road. I am pretty sure this was a couple of years before Donna, Ann, and the other murders. Maybe late 70s. If i remember correctly at the time the rumor was they were looking at one of her relatives. As for all the people with negative comments the people who are for justice for Donna should just ignore them. They are either people who have something to gain by keeping Donnas murder a cold case or they just try to stir up trouble. Either way they are having an opposite effect on what they really want. They are just adding to the people who want justice for people who have been denied justice for so long. So keep it up. Your comments only make decent peoples resolve even greater. Whats going on with the grand jury? Maybe Walter could give us a clue. Oh yea, as Colombo would say. One more thing. How do you get in touch with the guy selling ip adresses? There was a man charged with child molestation, he was acquitted or found not guilty. About two weeks later he fell into a silage machine. All of this was going on during the Donna Johnson Case.
There was also an incident in Pike Co. where a woman was fallowed from Hapeville and attacked, but she was able to get away 7-22-84. Not to mention an unusually high amount of rapes.
