Forty-three year old Scott Payne continues to cling to life after being shot at his Spalding County home.

i have known the victim of this shooting for many years. no matter what he did to anger his father-in-law & brother-in-law, he did not deserve to be beaten & shot.

i hope for once, instead of the people who post on this message board don't start acting ignorant & make hateful posts.

please keep scotty payne in your prayers... i know i will! thank you, fellow lamar county citizens.

I have been very close to Scott for years. He is a great guy and everyone who knows him loves him. He is a strong man and with prayer i do believe he will pull through. He is in surgery for the second time now! I LOVE YOU SCOTT PAYNE! Please baby make it, i need you! Your my one and only true love...my soul mate! Come back to me baby!

This has been a tragedy, what a wonderful man. My thoughts and prayers are with Scottie and especially with his ex wife and their two beautiful children. Keep fighting buddy. Love ya Man

Again with the officer's? The Hoffman's were arrested...? Walter, please explain the difference between plural and possessive nouns to whoever is writing these pieces.

I agree with your statement. Walter needs to proofread a lot more. I am appalled at all the grammar and spellings errors I see in his paper.

And the grammar and spelling errors on the blogs really make the people who write them look ignorant.

Anonymous, you are wrong when you to ask Walter to "explain" proper English composition to his writer. No explanation is necessary.
Your reading conprehension is lacking. It is plain to see the article was posted from a SCSO News Release.

You and grammar cop have a lot of nerve knocking Walter and i am not so sure you two can even understand what you are reading. NEWS RELEASE means it is coming from another source. If you are somehow connected to the LCBOE, as i suspect, no wonder we are at the bottom of the state in SAT scores. And dont bother blogging back and tell me all the grammar errors i made cause your opinions do not mean anything to me. Please!!!!!!!!!

Update from his daughter to me...Scott is still clinging to life. He has been rushed back into surgery as I type this. His daughter and son ask that you continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers please!

I know the two who were arrested. Jr is a friend and have met Sr a couple of times and I think if everyone knew the circumstances surrounding the incident they would have a better understanding.
