The Lamar County Trojans traveled to Eatonton tonight to battle Putnam County.

No excuses... we win some and lose some. It's ok! These are kids playing with everything they've got and they should hold their heads high! And we should support them all the way! Please keep your negative comments to yourself and remember these kids played with heart and did their best. Next week is another game and another chance for a win. So let it go Trojans and lets get ready for Pike to come to our house next week!

I agree with everything you say about the kids, it seems that other adults need to learn that lesson.

The last time the Trojans lost it was blamed on everything from lightning to bad refs to cheerleaders.

Like PPM said, they are kids. Let them have fun

The Pirates are coming, the Pirates are coming.....to Rock the Trojans in their house. Should be standing room only as the Highway 18 matchup should be a good one. Hope Joe is ok and back in time to play next Friday. "Pork Chop, Pork Chop, Greasy, Greasy.....we gonna beat them Trojans, Easy, Easy !

Not excuses or blame, but they just couldn't get passing game going last night. And the number of illegal procedure calls was shameful. Got a feeling that will be worked on next week in practice!

The team did play hard and had their heart in it. A bounce back win next week against Pike would great!!!

I agree with you totally...This is just a game and these are high school children having fun and staying OUT of trouble.

Saw pike play their 1st game and they looked allfull. FPD should have beat them by at least 3 touchdowns. FPD is a single A private school playing in its 1st year of GHSA ball.FPD turned the ball over at least 5 times . Without the turnovers , FPD could have scored at will.Pike will loose at least 4 region games. Pike does have one back that was pretty good but not many athletes on that team. Pike also has decent size. Pike is an average team at best playing in a very weak AA region.Pike should enjoy their limited success this year and next because its looks like they will be in AAA after that. Well at lesast maybe they can be competitive in the one act play and the liteary team may have a chance.Good luck to both teams but if Lamar looses to Pike , they are not quite as good as some have thought. I have felt since the begining ,that Lamar is a year, possibly 2 years from being strong.Lamar is very,very , young .My last prediction is that the top 4 teams from this region will all loose in the 1st round of the playoffs.

For my understanding Peters is doing ok and expected to be back in the game vs Pike.

What's wrong with PPMom giving us her full understanding of the situation? If he is even somewhat close to returning on Friday then that means he is ok. It's people like you in this country who annoy me. Everything has to be politcally correct and the truth can't be told if it may hurt someone's feelings. Some people just have to complain to make themselves feel good, even about from a simple statement such as PPMom's comment.

we as the trojans are sorry for losing the game last week but i can tell you 79 an 78 better known as the twin towers will show the fans of lamar county why we are d1 prospects

Joe Peters is fine and will play Friday. Saw him at practice today and he was full tilt. GO BIG BLUE!!!

We may have lost that one but we are still contenders. We will have to show Pike County Friday night that we are here to stay.....GO TROJANS
