Between Saturday, Sept. 25, and Friday, Oct. 1, the sheriff’s department made the following arrests:
Jatavious Ramon Kelley, 19, Griffin, probation violation;
Darleen Williams Grant, 41, Barnesville, second degree forgery and printing, executing or negotiating checks or drafts;
James David Teal, 37, Barnesville, theft of lost or mislaid property, reckless driving and failure of duty to stop at the scene, hit and run or leaving the scene of an accident;
Harry Lee Thomas, 37, Atlanta, driving while license suspended or revoked, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and no tail lights;
Deltinaud Toussaint, 35, Vidalia, possession, manufacture, sale or purchase of marijuana, abandonments of dangerous drugs, poison or controlled substance, tampering with evidence and other charges;
Darryl Marcus Allen, 27, Vidalia, possession, manufacture, sale or purchase of marijuana, abandonments of dangerous drugs, poison or controlled substance, tampering with evidence, reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude police officers, weaving over roadway, obstruction of an officer, trafficking in illegal drugs and following too closely;
Christopher Phillip Smith, 23, Locust Grove, child molestation;
Joshua Kyle Denton, 18, Barnesville, possession, manufacture, sale or purchase of marijuana;
Karla Lynn Thompson, 38, Barnesville, probation violation;
Zachary Terrell Richardson, 20, Lawrenceville, failure to appear;
Catherina Levia Compton, 22, Orlando, Fla., warrants pending;
Hanif Douglas McGhie, 31, Loxahatchee, Fla., warrants pending;
Michael Angelo Jacobs, 20, no residence listed, theft by taking and theft by taking motor vehicle.
Deputies answered 132 calls and the 911 center answered 78. Deputies responded to 25 calls, the Barnesville police department to 23 calls, the Lamar County fire department to 10 and Mid Georgia ambulance service to 34. There were 13 accidents. Deputies issued 50 traffic citations and served 88 warrants, including some to existing inmates, and 22 subpoenas or civil papers.
