Death due to trauma is an ever present danger in our fast paced society. In fact, trauma is a leading cause of death in America in nearly every age group, especially adolescents, teens, and young adults. As if that isn’t scary enough, trauma-related death rates in Georgia are 20 percent higher than the national average. Part of the reason for this dangerous and deadly statistic is the fact that access to trauma care is severely limited for many Georgians.

Maybe tags for golf carts would be a good idea.
I will vote "no", because, unfortunatley, all this really is, is a lifeline to keep Grady open to serve the atlanta area's non-paying.
Sure would "Feel good" to have my taxes LOWERED in this time of need.
If more trauma centers are needed, then the government can cut back on something else to pay for it.
It's time the government stops behaving like an armed robber and starts doing what we all must do every day to manage our household finances and our businesses.
I say move the capitol to Macon as was previously planned. Or back to Louisville or Milledgeville, where it was before.
Speaking of elections I hope everyone will take the time to look behind the big money that is trying to get us to add a $10 bill to our car tab bill every year (forever no doubt) to fund trama centers. My question was where is this money coming from to spend a bundle on commercial after commercial on TV. This is not the typical amendment vote--you rarely see any advertising one way or the other--unless some special interests stand to make big bucks.
So I checked the website- http://www.yes2savelives.com/about/-- to see where all this money is coming from. What I see are hospitals and medical providers, etc. who all stand to benefit from an infusion of money. What I don't see on the site is any information about WHERE the money will be spent. I know I hear the ads "all across GA" but I suspect a large share of that money will go to Atlanta trauma centers--can you say Grady. They have been having budget problems. If there is a guarantee that this money will be shared equally throughout the state I have not seen it. If this is so up and up why can't I find the text of the amendment that guarantees this money will be spread throughout the state.
I hope after you check into this heavily money-backed amendment like me you will choose to vote NO until we are guaranteed our money will not fund Atlanta institutions.
Screw Atlanta. I dont go past Henry Co unless absolutely necessary.
This healthcare deform is already affecting some peoples insurance. Less coverage for the same money, or same coverage for more money. The elderly people (some i have talked to) are seeing a difference in their medicare. Doctors talking about getting out of the business or not wanting to do certain procedures.
I am one of the lucky ones that works for an excellent company, and my insurance didnt budge this year or for next year either. Atleast the part that the employees pay.
Everyone is broke, they need to look at everything on the books and cut back!!
This will end up in the general fund like the wildlife tags and lottery money to name a few!!
proposal. I wonder if they (the tea party crowd) will ever need trauma care and how that will change their view on the matter.
Their motto is "Keep government out of medicare". Duh
Once everyone has an up to date trauma center then they will need helicopters stationed at each one for fast transport from the accident......more money!!! Never enough money!!!! Give me money!!!!!!
want to vote for me controls. Sort of hypercritical to me.
They are basically saying "trust us" and we all know how well the government manages the money they already get.
=
Winner in the elections! ;)
When I moved out here to the boonies I realized that if I ever had a heart attack, I'd probably die before the ambulance even got here. The peace and quiet is worth the risk. It is a cold, hard fact but everyone's going to die of something.
4) Ya' just can't prevent ALL calamaties...life is a bit of a gamble and we tend to over-insure it.
Even if you call them "fees".
Hear that Lamar County Commission?
