The Trojan Gridiron Club is offering you a chance to win a gun per day for seven days.

UPDATE (Thursday a.m.): Bill Dayton won the first day drawing Wednesday. Bob Taylor won Thursday's gun. Kenneth Presley was Friday's winner.

I dont have a difficulty with this. I understand some are against virtually everything. At least everyone will know who has the guns.

Love it! Good job Hammricks keeping our rights to carry firearms alive and well. Who knows maybe Barnesville will rise up and take a stand. I stand against those who want to take our guns away from us. Wasn't the revolutionary war won by minutemen? Those who wanted to be free from the tyrants of the world. Those who wanted the right to worship God in their own way. And did't they take up arms against a three percent tax. What is our tax today? Keep the American Dream Alive!

And whats wrong with that? Do you think kids should be educated about firearm safety and such, or should they be shielded and left to be scared of them and not know how to handle one when Mr. burgular breaks in and attacks mommy?

On my way home this morning ... I saw a new gun shop downtown and squealed at the sight of the RUGER banner in the window ... I'm excited :)

I have no issue with a raffle being for guns. Most of us seem to have them already as personal protection for our families as well as for hobby sports.

nothing wrong with AK47s or SKS'. Crimes can be committed with mossberg camo 20 gauge shotguns. The gun has nothing to do with it. AK47s are perfectly legal. It giped my ass when the J Buice shooting happened and the media labeled the guns as " assault rifles ". It is a semi auto rifle no different than the average 223, 243, 270, 30-06, 308, 7mag, 300 mag, etc. As a matter of fact, the the ak47 is at the bottom of this list in reference to power. How can a less powerful gun be more dangerous. All guns are dangerous and it is up to us to use them carefully.

why is it these left wing socialist pricks want to reword the constitution for their own adgenda. Ammendment 2 of the constitution gives americans the right to keep and bare arms. this makes the gun raffle CONSTITUTIONAL! now the Obamacare, thats a different story...

I own several firearms of various makes and models. I don't hunt anymore, long story, but I do keep them around for target shooting and defense of the farm. I just feel that most of us don't really understand the wording of the founding documents. We take things out of context or just vomit back the rhetoric that is spoon fed by others. So with that in mind.

Actually, the second amendments gives Americans the right to keep and bear arms in order to ensure a well trained militia. This was done in the days before there was a regular organized national army and ordinary citizens would be called up to volunteer to serve a particular term of enlistment in the army and could just leave to go home when done. Today, I would translate this well trained militia to mean the national guard and policing institutions.

Now having said that, they can take my guns from my cold dead hands.
