An apparent home invasion early Sunday morning at 121 Westchester Drive in Barnesville resulted in the death of one black male and the arrests of three others on murder charges.
In fact, just wait on Jennifer Clark's trial results. If she does not get the death penalty for the brutal death of her husband, and you still think we have a DA that is worth a damn........then YOU are actually the problem.

Go to school, play sports, get a job, pay taxes, raise a family, teach them about respecting others and their property, and hopefully break this generational curse that is going on in certain communities.

Bryce, though, like others have said, I have no idea about. He was always nice and I never saw him get in any serious trouble.
Congrats to the police for making such a quick arrest and getting these thugs off the street. Sorry some people are such pieces of s#*#, that they cant see beyond their own stupidity. I think all of the police deserve big raises for having to deal with such dumb butts on a daily basis.

The deputies in Barnesville should be paid twice as much as surrounding counties. They arrest the same thugs every other week.
Sheriff Waller should just give them a key like Otis on Andy of Mayberry, and let them check in and out at their leisure. Then the deputies could look for new convicts and save taxpayer money on all of Milam's reruns.

the problem with this world not just here in barnesville is the goverment itself. they took punishment out of the schools and tell our kids that if mom or dad spank them then they are to tell the teacher or call dfacs themselves. when i was growing up if i did something in school or at home that was wrong i got a good whooping for it.now the parents are afraid to disipline their kids for fear of going to jail for child abuse.
i told my daughter once that she was in for a spanking and she told me that she would tell her teacher and that dfacs would come lock me up.i told her to go ahead and tell whom ever she wanted to but by the time she told them i would have already have spanked her and done what i had to do since she is my child and it was my job to try to do the right thing.BUT if she did tell her teacher and i did get locked up then she best be out of my house when i got home and she was to take nothing with her except for the clothes on her back.she told me to do what i had to do and she wouldn't say nothing to anyone cause she knew i was right.
so lets all say to HELL with the goverment and get back to the way it should be and raise our kids the way they need to be raised and this country will get right again.the goverment is supposed to be there to help us all not hinder us from doing the right thing for our kids.all we are doing is a grave injustice to them in the long run.
BTW my 2 kids are raised and married now and i have 4 wonderful grandkids and they will tell anyone that my wife and i did a dang good job on raising them. we were not always right or perfect but i think we did do a good job with them both!

The tragedy here is that several young men have entered the system and have little or no chance of ever being productive citizens. It's over for them.

This crime had nothing to do with race, it had to do with three stupid kids doing a real stupid thing, and now they will pay for it.

Often times people try to make it seem as if only blacks sell drugs, but in reality I've witnessed people of other races bring it to them to sell?? My son is a Junior at Fort Valley State, and him and Bryce actually hung out. Now my son is nowhere near a thug, he has a 3.74 GPA and I can honestly say makes good decisions because he has never gotten into any trouble. The wrong crowd doesn't have a label color on it so just as you make 87,0000 a yr your child can committ a crime that you have no control over because the youth follow each other in alot of situations. Only difference between races is often when people with money are able to have cases swept under the rugs because they're able to buy there kids out of trouble!
Maybe street justice is the answer until election time, then we may possibly elect some officials who cannot be bought!!!!!

Westchester is still a good neighborhood filled with hardworking people just like many other neighborhoods in B'ville. I would be quick to consider this incidient isolated and work towards repairing the reputation of the neighborhood that many people still call home.

First, I think it is irresponsible to post character references (negative or positive) of the parties who are involved. These words can affect the case and these kids lives even more so than they already are. Remember the investigation is still happening. If the suspects are to be tried in B'ville they can not receive a "fair" trial if the views of potential jurors are tainted by the words of anonymous people who were not eyewitnesses to the crime. To my knowledge no details have been released, so all other statements should be considered speculation based on opinion and not facts. A person's past does not determine what happened that night.
Second, do not blame the families for the choices of the children. Looking at thier ages they are all old enough to make thier own decisions. I'm sure many of us have done things our parents disapproved of or didn't raise you to do and if you haven't you're a saint on Earth and you should be walking on water.
Lastly, I think it is HIGHLY unethical to post the name of the owner of the home in the original article. Would you want YOUR name published in the newspaper if you owned a home where someone was murdered and you had NOTHING to do with the incident? What if you were renting out the home or someone was subleting from the person you rented the home to? I would be HIGHLY upset if my name was posted on the Internet and in the newspaper for the world to read in connection with a murder. That's just not right. Have we learned nothing from the Richard Jewell and Shirley Sherrod incidents? Don't know who they are? Google them.

This town used to be really nice. Blacks and whites used to get along fairly well. You hardly ever heard of anything happening weird around here. The college grew, more people came here from other towns. More crimes started happening.
