thats great ain't it.if you are carrying cash in lamar county i guess your a drug dealer.way to go sheriff, while your cronnies are stopping cars on the interstate (to generate revenue)the real crooks are stealing the rest of the county blind.
So they just released the presser "hey we made a lot of money" but didn't release the amount? Is the mother lode thousands? Millions? Is this a teaser to make you buy the paper and until then we wont know?
Nice job, Long and Webster!
Here's my question:
If you have been hired to move drugs and fail in your appointed task, do you get fired or killed by your boss?
FYI - over the weekend I found a beautiful place to move in Florida. It is warmer there, have some family closer and since I lost my mother there is nothing keeping me here. But the most important thing - I will be leaving this negative community where people have nothing else to do but be critical of those who are stepping up and trying to make things better. I have never in my life seen more blogging lawyers (with no education and no bar card), specialists in budgets and now know everything about how law enforcement is ran. Yet, all you do is sit around and critically BLOG!!! Good bye Lamar County and Commissioners, I think you have done a good job with what you have had to work with.
Do they actually think they are "undercover" they have a out of town tag but a Moore Chevrolet dealer sticker- Where it was purchased. Get smarter Guys!!!!

why dont they use this money to pay everyones fire and ems bill due tomorrow? I bet more of our good ole boys showed up with dollar signs in their eyes to get their cut of that money!
Good job guys! It's a double whammy!! Drug money off the streets, and 2 illegal immigrants busted- I just hope the get deported, and quickly! Thanks for your hard work!
well at least one "BLIND TO THE TRUTH" person will be leaving the county.just need a couple thousand more an we might have a chance at turning this county around
Hey dictionary boy! Do you believe Daniel Webster who complied Webster's dictionary? If so, please explain why we needed Flammable and Inflammable as words, when they mean the same thing. I believe he was drunk when he compiled that dictionary.
flam·ma·ble (flm-bl)
adj.
Easily ignited and capable of burning rapidly; inflammable.
I would but I am pregnant again. I don't no know who my baby daddy is, Mrs. Wilma. But it happened in Bedrock where your husband Fred works. It was either him or Barney. We will see if my baby is got black hair or blond? I may need some pampers so I gits to meet you in parson. That make me really happy Mama.
I love you Mrs. Wilma. I hope it be your Grandbaby. Mr. Barney ain't strong as Mr. Fred and I love Dino. Dino ain't my baby daddy so don't you go a'worrin bout dat. Dino ain't cute like yo husband Fred. He is smarter but not cuter.
I be seein' you, Mrs. Wilma. Stay in touch now, you hear?
It never ceases to amaze me how vocal the do nothings can be in Lamar County. Instead of making unfounded accusations based on hearsay, try strapping on a badge and gun and doing traffic patrol.
There may be many shortfalls in our County but my thanks do go out to these officers who are willing to place themselves on the line so we can sleep at night.
You could have 30 deputies roaming the county roads and still have burglaries. There is no way that can be in all places at one time. Do you think they can read the minds of bad guys? Why dont you stop complaining and form a neighborhood watch. Be proactive. The community should be the eyes and ears of law enforcement. I for one am glad they try to get revenue from the interstate. That equals less tax payer money. Can you think beyond the fact that JB didnt get re-elected?
They should all be given a cut cause they sure as hell don't make much otherwise. I wouldn't have their job, especially in Lamar County. Some of you are the most thoughtless people I have ever seen. Is saying THANK YOU too hard? I wish some of you whiners would go and volunteer to ride with one of the officers for a week. You may come away with a different perspective, doubtful, but maybe.
I agree! Everytime I see a deputy or officer, I make sure to tell them thanks. The complainers all just hot air. They wouldnt have the guts to do a job like that. They would rather sit back, cry, moan, complain and play arm chair quarterback.
Cry baby cry baby...why don't you take some advice from Bernie's son.
Ya know I don't think there was an issue of money missing while Waller was/is in office. There was and still is missing money from the last administration isn't it? Did they ever find out what happened to it?
Hey DUMBA## Larry didnt buy the Chargers to start with your Hero Joe did. Since then Larry has bought one. What do you want them to buy since the Crown Vics are being discontinued. The Chargers were an answer to the lack luster performance by the Fords that Ford failed to do anything about. As far as the Tahoes are concerned they are not new to Law enforcement and have been being used by many different agencys for years.
whats your problem, did i say anything about which sheriff bought the chargers and why does it matter, i stated that maybe they can buy more chargers or tahoes because we have 4 chargers and 2 tahoes so they gotta switch the entire fleet in the next couple of years anyway because the big bad vics are no longer an option

Yawn. They made application for the job. At least do what the taxpayers are paying for.
There are no voters on the 15,000 feet of I-75 in Lamar County. Taxpayers are paying for their property in the county to be secured, not for press releases about the "drug pipeline" seizures.
Wally and company are going to hit the real jackpot over there one of these times. Either a shootout with assault weapons (ask Buice how he enjoyed going up against those), or a civil rights lawsuit that will end up costing the county many millions of dollars. One or other is bound to happen.
Only thing missing this time was the staged photo of Wally and all the cash. Maybe next week.
I reported a crime to the LCSO and the deputy that took the report called the person I reported and told him I was reporting him and what the report was about before they even investigated. When I was reporting it the deputy was on a long personal phone call. This was one of the deputies Buice had fired. I see why now.
i think it's great that lamar county can bust the thugs... it amazes me that they can get through all those other counties but not through lamar... great job to all the officers in lamar, barnesville, and other surrounding areas... if it weren't for them there would be many more murders and drug dealers in our area...
You speak of Larry as if he is doing something wrong by having deputies on 75 and because of this the county will have to pay later. If it was such a bad idea then why is it that Joe had them out there as well. At least with Larry there is no missing drug money.
This is what the Supreme Court lists as false compartments:
It further defines “false compartment” as:
“[A]ny box, container, space, or enclosure that is intended for use or designed for use to conceal, hide, or otherwise prevent discovery of any controlled substance within or attached to a vehicle, including, but not limited to, any of the following:
(1) False, altered, or modified fuel tanks.
(2) Original factory equipment of a vehicle that is modified, altered, or changed.
(3) Compartment, space, or box that is added to, or fabricated, made, or created from, existing compartments, spaces, or boxes within a vehicle.”
I wouldn't be so sure. There are more questionable deputies that work for Lamar County than non. Especially the ones that handle the money. They can't even pay their bills with their houses getting foreclosed on or about to and then poof.......all their bills are paid and everything is fine......AFTER the bust. Seems to me these officers need to be checked out. How are they really paying their bills??????????
How is the sheriff responsible for 20 something year old PLEDGED money that was most likely taken back by the offer-ers or even never actually physically handed over or deposited in an account anyway?
(well, that is unless some DA or judge screws this up too).
Here's my question:
If you have been hired to move drugs and fail in your appointed task, do you get fired or killed by your boss?
The case is being plead down to: Operating a vehicle that is overweight. $50 fine.
Code: 74903.67
I know. I do not understand it either.
Code 59762.8
Say hello to Richard.

Payback plus interest. Please Lord.

Any equipment...which is primarily intended or designed for use in...concealing...a controlled substance, the possession of which is unlawful."
To establish a violation of Section 863 in a hidden trap case, the following elements must be established beyond a reasonable doubt:
1) The perpetrator sold or offered drug paraphernalia for sale.
2) The hidden trap was equipment or a product primarily intended or designed for use in concealing a controlled substance.
3) The perpetrator acted knowingly.
Attempt to dismiss it if you want to, but the majority of us will never forget the arrogant, ridiculous and embarassing way the dept. was run then.
You are ridiculous.
