He got off E-Z. Weren't those family members that he was trying to plow under? Wonder why ol' John Lewis and members of the King and Abernathy families didn't appear to testify regarding Holloway's great character. Oh! I suppose they were too busy drumming up votes for obama 2012.
Score one for DA Milam.
That aint hardly a good thing. if the voters of this country vote him in again we will become a third world country and it aint to far from happening already.
What does Obama and Rudy Vaughan have to do with this case? This blog never cease to amaze me. I never realized how ignorant some of the people of Lamar County are. I am praying for you all.
Claude's a good man. Those folks should have left him alone, they new if they pushed him long enough he would finally snap. And thats's just what happened. I don't think he deserved the sentence that he got. Claude always cared about our community, and the people in it, both black and white.
Nowbody can hurt you like family.
My prayers are with the Holloway family.
What does J. Lewis, Pres. Obama, the 2012 election etc., have to do with this incident? It amazes me how people use fear and hatred to advance their agenda of entitlement. You want "your country" back right? Be careful of what you ask for cause you just might get it. And remember when you get it back, watch out b/c you too will reap what you sow. So keep blasting away b/c he who laughs last, laughs best.
As for C. Holloway, he's a good man? Whoa! He treated his family like crap. He sued them b/c he wanted "his land back." Something he never purchased or worked for. Entitlement. He got everything he wanted from his family and when they stop giving, took the rest. He has never apologized for anything he has done to his family including terrorizing his 83 year old aunt with a tractor and putting his mama out her own house (check the court records okay). But he is good man, right? His actions were a result of his fears, hatred and sense of entitlement (the right's mantra) coming to fruition. He should have gotten more time than he did but b/c of the "right" he got off easy. Maybe the Tea Party and the GOP should have testified for him and he would be a free man by now.
He tried to kill his own family. How do you consider someone who would do that a good man? His family never did anything to him, he did this to himself. He is a selfish person and has no consideration for his family or other people. He should have gotten a longer sentence.
An how would u even kno if they did or didn't do anything to him?? u cant speak on something that u know nothing about. was u there?? no i dont think u was so u mite as well just sit back and be quiet
As i sit back an read these comments i'm just wonderin how can u speak on something u know nothing about or wasnt even there. u only kno what was told to u or what u read. But hey! its really nothin but entertainment for the people that have nothing else better to do with their lives but talk about ppl and things they know nothing about. an to #8 thank u. he is a good man and u said what needed to b said.
Claude's wife and 2 children, are his family. He didn't try to hurt them. He is a great father, and husband, he has raised 2 beautiful, and smart children. These distant, money hungry, relatives, have distroyed a loving family. Claude would help anybody, anytime. But when pushed, he pushed back. He fought in court for what he new was right, and was denied justice. So yes, when they kept on trying to take more and more from him, he made a mistake, and did something he shouldn't have.
But the punishment, does not fit the crime. Drug dealers selling meth to our 15 yr old children, don't receive this tuff of a sentence. But maybe god has a plan for Claude. I think he needed him to minister to the other inmates. I know that Claude will bring a lot of lost souls to Christ while he is in prison.
To Mrs. Holloway and children. Just know that this was God's plan, not the DA and Judge's. God know's where Claude is needed most.He needed him in prison saving lost souls. Claude will do great things through God's love!
Be proud that he called him to serve in this way. I know it is tough on you, and the children, but you also are strong, and will get through this.
