School calendar poll part two

After collecting data on its proposed 2011-12 school calendar, the Lamar County school system is seeking additional input from parents.

i could care less about the calendar, what i do care about is the extremly high amount of school tax money i pay every year so that truby, ron, susan and gang can brag about our world class facillities. lets put the public school system out of buisness, it would be cheaper to send all the kids to private school. look at the cost per child in public school vs. tuition at most private schools and you would see it is much lower per child at private school. i gladly pay for my kids to go to a private school so that they dont have gay teachers ,teaching them they came from apes, that islam is a peacefull religion,and having to watch obama speeches and sing songs about him. GOD HELP OUR COUNTRY ! THATS JESUS FOR ALL YOU LIBERAL ,PROGRESSIVE, IDIOTS OUT THERE!

My child has never had to sing songs about OUR president! But if she did I would be more than glad to hear her sing it!

Did you go to public a school?

We have good school's here in Lamar County. They are much better than Clayton or Henry Counties.

The only thing about private school's are that your kids don't have to go with blacks. They teach the same subjects.

If your rich enough to send your kids to a private school, the school tax shouldn't be a problem for you!!!!

Besides that, furthermore and on top of everything else if it doesn't pertain to you don't vote on the public school calendar!!!

Teachers at private school don't make squat because they choose to work there because they do not have the discpline problems that public schools do. Ever wonder why private school kids read better because the parents care and sit with them every night. There are many parents that do not help there kids to read from the public schools. Teachers have kids that struggle and are suppose to whip up a miracle because the parents aren't doing there share. I commend the parents who's children can read on grade level and you know who you are. Ask your kid to read a paragraph for you and you will know if you have failed your child. The government/tax payers are paying for public schools. If the govenment would pay for kids to go to private schools (for the parents that can't afford it) like your suggesting then what happens to the kids that get kicked out for disruptive behavior. Teachers at public schools are paid to teach content and ontop of that put up with disruptive kids and parents that don't care. Kids can't be kicked out of public schools like they can private. I think its funny that you possibly think that private school would never have gay teachers look deeper I bet you'll find it. Teachers are people (flesh) and do have flaws just like you and I. Professionalism in the classroom is what counts. Teachers teach what they are told to teach from the state of GA and the private schools have the same standards to cover. So keep sending your kids to private school and then think about relocating to a state that complies with your happy fairytale ideals.

Back to school in July 25 or August 1. Last day of school in June 1.

Private school? We were all Nerds and Geeks. Who all A and B+? We don't play for fun. Not rich or poor. Don't you?

to answer some of my critics. maybe if the public schools could kick out the bad apples their wouldnt be so many of them. joe clark proved that (lean on me )also the fact that the school system has state and federal guidelines to follow is wrong too, it should be totally up to the local system. blacks also go to private schools so lets squash that argument. if you dont like your teaching salary either quit and get a new career or shut up.no , im not rich, i struggle and sacrifice to send my kids to a christian private school. the school tax is a problem and i shouldnt have to pay for the wastefull ways of the local system . i also will not vote on the public school calendar or anythingt else school related as soon as you pay my school taxes for me.the private sector can always do a better job than the government. lamar co. schools are even admitting to that by trying to get a charter school. to all the christian public school teachers , i commend you for trying to do your best in a hostile enviroment. its not the kids fault either. they are allowed to be disruptive and behaive badly with little or noe consequences because of the liberal progressives that have taken over public education . it started when prayer was taken out of school.set the standards high enough and the problems will take care of themselves. look at the military academies , not many disipline problems there. it all comes down to being responsible for yourself and your kids. you can take that oprah b.s. about a village raising a child and shove it up her hind quarters.

TRUBY wants it his way. How are you going to ask for input and then have us vote on the calendars he wanted all the long. IT'S TIME FOR TRUBY TO GO!!!

I think it's called process of elimination.

Trudy has done well for Lamar County!!

I wanted the October Break and the final three all have it.

Trudy did well with the budget so well in fact the county wanted to get it. Maybe he should be put in charge of the county government too!!

By the way I do help my kids..Thank you! No I am not a teacher either. They couldn't pay me enough to deal with that crap everyday. I do have to say my grammar is perfect compared to most in this county. No everyone is perfect all the time so just remember that for yourself. I am a Math major not English so who cares about a few mistakes!

You have every right to find another job.

Go back to school for 10 years and you can get paid the same!!
