If it is any comfort at all to the family, it sounds as if he died doing something he loved. One second he was flying down the road and the next rising to heaven. I bet he loved that ride! Still, I know they are grieving the loss of their loved one, and my prayers are with them. You will see him again.

We should all hope to die on such a pretty day doing something we enjoy. Instead of in some nursing home or hospital.

I don't think they meant anything by that comment. I believe they were just saying he died happy and doing something he loved, instead of stuck in a nursing home or hospital at 70 years old. I think you were jumping to conclusions. A little testy are we?!?

#9.1.1 knows exactly what I meant. I watched my Grandfather die in the hospital from cancer and in alot of pain. No one should have to go through that, so I believe that it must be better to die happy than in pain. Why in the world would you think that it must be a bad comment? Not everyone has their mind toward the negative.
