The Lamar County Trojans beat the Pierce County Bears at home in the first round of the GHSA Class AA state basketball tournament Saturday night.

If anyone out there has not attended one of these basketball games, you have missed out on a great experience! I have absolutely become a fan! The excitement and energy in that gym Saturday night was so contagious that I did not want to leave. Congratulations to the team, the coaches, the families and the fans. Great job, guys!
