Already spending that SPLOST money. What needs to be done to the building now? Wasn't the building just recently renovated? I don't understand why the commissioners need personal offices? A waste of tax payer money. Are they in there that much? What is wrong with one large room with cubicles? Keeping up with the Jones'es? That tax money is burning a hole in their pocket.
Everyone that voted "YES" on the SPLOST gets to help choose the decor. Although I would strongly recommend staying away from anything that resembles a German Shepard. Just in case our ex tax comm. comes back. If you voted "NO", you are S.O.L.
Where did you see anything in the article above about the commissioner's offices. It states that they will be taking bids and accepting one for the tax commissioner's office. That is in a completely different building - the place where the tag office is. I don't know or necessarily agree that there needs to be any improvements there now with the economy as it is, but you should at least get the location correct before you complain.
You are right. It isn't the LCC BLDG. I misread. I think they need to hold off on renovating that building til the economy improves. (tag office) Lamar County Needs versus the Lamar County Commissioners Wants.
Did the city acquire the property where the old EMC used to be (across from Hardees)? Looks like they could clean that place up and use it for city office or city hall.
we got splost and now we get to vote for t-splost; now why dont we have a tax com splost vote...if we keep on we can have that 22 cent sales tax and still have income and property tax and then the republicans will really have something to cry about
lol....you must not pay attention to the people that voted yes on the SPLOST. They think that property taxes will go down since "everyone" is paying the bill now. hahahaha where do these idiots come from?
Well did anyone ever think that some roads in the county need to be repaved since they have never been done. I've been living here 15 years and all the other roads have been done all around me and this road is getting worse Old Alabama Road
