Paul Howard Gunter, Sr., 73, and Ellen Smith Gunter, 63, died Thursday, April 28 from injuries sustained when a tornado struck their Grove Street home.

Memorial service: Saturday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at the Griffin Church of the Nazarene.

Williams Funeral Home of Barnesville has charge of arrangements.

What is there to say? My prayers are with their daughter. Like the rest of the community, I am deeply saddened by the loss of the Gunters.

I did not know the Gunters but it is terrible what happen to them. I only heard about it, but the family have sympathy for thier loss and with prayer and family they will pull through.

The Gunters go to our church FBC. Danny Gunters grandson is a collage student. He will be leaving to Alabama with his dad after the funeral for his aunt and uncle. Gabreial will live in Alabama with his dad because he lost his house here in Barnesville.

Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs will...come out." (John 5:28, 29) in harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth. (Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for humans. The Bible says: "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."-Psalm 37:29.

I am deeply sadden by the deaf of Mr & Mrs Gunter. I met them some years ago when I bought a car from their son. They were so warm and showed their true christian love to me. I know God has them in His loving arms.

The Gunter's family has a wonderful nurse here in Gwinnett County. She was just here, treating my mother and I want to salute her for her strength. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your family's story with us and for still being here to take care of Mama.
