Meth sting yields arrests
Three people have been arrested and a fourth is being sought as a result of a recent sting operation by the Lamar sheriff’s office targeting methamphetamine dealers, according to Major Brad White.
The print edition mentioned the investigation led to the traffic stop that got Howard and Hamilton. Sounds like they were being watched or were told on. And that people applauded as Howard's car was towed from Aldora St. Anyone got info on what has been going on at Aldora St?
I think Lamar county should take some of our tax money we are spending on making our Schools look PRETTY and get some drug sniffing dogs and go around to every house in this county and find all the drugs !!!!
Let them sniff every car every person they come across and I promise you some body is gonna move out of our town!
Meth is an epidemic in rural America. We need to do all we can to fight this scourge on America. However,doing all we can do to fight it doesn't include giving up our Constitutional protections.
Walter I really liked your graduation editorial. The welfare system is a joke, it's like throwing money down a never ending rat hole. Unless you are disabled or a senior with low income you should get two years assistance and then you are on your own, I do not care how many babies you have. I raised my children, worked and am now in my sixties and have started on my second career..Get a job folks,it may not be what you want but good honest work is good for you. Something does need to be done about the meth epidemic in America. Families are being ripped apart at their foundations. Meth addiction covers the entire spectrum of the population. People from all social, economic and cultural backgrounds are affected by this horrible drug. The addiction doesn't discriminate based on someone's heritage or upgringing or color.
We need to get serious about eradicating this problem. However, that doesn't mean throwing the Constitution out of the window.
Better yet, get all of the druggies together and give them all the drugs they want until they kill themselves. Then we will be rid of all of them. Treat them to all you can eat, drink, smoke, shoot up drug fest from all of the confiscated drugs. Can't be any more expensive than the money we spend chasing them.

If you discount the "less than an ounce" possession busts (kids will be kids) and consider only more serious crimes, the ratio of non-student to student appearance here is better than 10 to 1.
