Spalding County sheriff Dee Stewart was seriously injured Thursday when his patrol car was struck on the passenger side by a Ford Bronco driven by his grandson Chad Gasaway, an officer at the sheriff's department.
Gasaway and Stewart are the brother and grandfather of Amy Jackson. She is the secretary of Barnesville First United Methodist Church.

Sheriff Stewart doesn't drive a "patrol car", he was in his county Z71 pickup truck.
