After finishing third in the District 3 Dixie Youth Minors tournament in Roberta, the Lamar County 9/10 year old all star baseball team is headed to the state tournament.

Where will they play the State Tournament? Which Field Location? And, as what time will they play?

The Lamar County 9/10 All Stars will play Saturday (July 16) at 4 o'clock against Winder.

The winner plays Sunday at 7:30 pm against either Wrens or Albany.

The loser will play Sunday at 3:30 pm against either Wrens or Albany.

The tournament is being played at the Lee County Recreation Complex located at 141 Park St., West Leesburg, Georgia.

Admission if $5 per day. Children 6 and under admitted free.

No coolers will be allowed to enter the complex.

Playing in Leesburg, GA at 4pm July 16, 2011. Way to go Lamar County 9/10 All Stars! We love you!!! If you see these children wish them well. They have been playing baseball since the first week of April. God bless their parents for their support and cooperation. Thank you coaches for volunteering your time. God bless you all!

The Lamar County 9/10 All Stars first round game in Leesburg today was cancelled due to bad weather.

The local boys are tentatively scheduled to play Winder at 5:30 Sunday afternoon.

The Lamar County 9/10 All Stars face elimination from the state Dixie Youth baseball tournament when they take on Albany Monday afternoon at four o'clock in Leesburg.

Lamar dropped its opening round game to Winder Sunday while Albany was beaten by Wrens in the first round.

The winner of today's Lamar/Albany game will face the loser of today's Buford/Newton County game Tuesday at six o'clock. The loser goes home.
