Between Monday, Aug. 1, and Monday, Aug. 8, the Lamar County sheriff’s office made the following arrests:
Tony Smith, 51, Thomaston, habitual offender, no tail lights and driving while license suspended or revoked;
Wayman Eugene Harris, 58, Griffin, open container, DUI alcohol, violation of conditions of limited driving permit and no tail lights;
Marlon Marvin Miller, 32, Coral Springs, Fla., driving while license suspended or revoked, no license plate, reproduction of recorded material, visual images or video and improper lane change;
Warren Terrell Johnson, 35, Barnesville, child support;
Robert Joseph Boutwell, 45, Lawrenceville, Ga., aggravated assault and disorderly conduct;
Isael Ruiz-Luna, 32, no residence given, driving without a license and tail light violation;
Rachaelle Reid, 30, Marietta, arrested for another agency;
Eric Shonte Hamm, 32, Barnesville, arrested for another agency;
Larry Fletcher, 56, Barnesville, simple battery;
James Darryl Wright, 44, Barnesville, probation violation;
James Russell Brooks, 36, Panama, Fla., probation violation;
Tina Marie Underwood, 36, Barnesville, DUI less safe and failure to maintain lane;
Stewart Wade Salter, 43, Thomaston, DUI less safe, weaving over roadway, open container and speeding;
Johnathan Henderson, 36, Griffin, arrested for another agency;
Alex J. Goodin, 43, Thomaston, deposit account fraud;
Gary James Nichols, 27, Barnesville, speeding, driving while license suspended or revoked, DUI less safe, DUI endangering a child and open container;
Quantavious Jamaul Smith, 21, Thomaston, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Deputies answered 140 complaints. Lamar E-911 answered 95 calls, dispatching deputies to 25, the Barnesville police department to 28, Lamar County firefighters to 29 and Mid-Georgia Ambulance Service to 46. There were 10 accidents. Deputies served two state warrants and issued 31 traffic citations.

Quantavious, already being a convicted felon will do serious time for the gun charge.

In 2004 the people of Lamar County did give another individual a chance to step up and look what happen. You need to just face the fact that your Good ol'Boy could not handle the job!
