Barnesville-Lamar County's hot summer crime wave continued Tuesday when a black male was shot in the back near Mill Street in Barnesville.
UPDATE: The victim is stable and expected to recover. Three arrests have been made. The alleged triggerman, Jontravious McFadden, has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault. Anthony Parson and Darnell Caslin have been charged with armed robbery.

Dang Walter, I saw at least 25 black male layabouts fitting that description while driving up to Giant Mart. Exchange the blue tank top for a white T-shirt and add a cell phone to the ear and it matches 60% of the black males in Barnesville jus chillin on Mill and Atlanta Streets.
The above statement is my factual opinion gathered through personal observation and is not to be taken personally by anyone regardless of their race, creed, color or national origin. Don't lump me in with real racists like Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and Maxine Waters.

You and I can hold a Chikkin-Pork BBQ-40 Oz. fundraiser on Mill Street by the railroad tracks. We use the proceeds to buy a box car full of AK-47's with an ample supply of ammo. We invite all the Crips and Bloods as well as the non-affiliated drug pushing thug standabouts into the rented Trojan football stadium for a party. We use the ruse that we have purloined WIC cards and hot 26 inch rims for sale. We issue the weapons and ammo to all those low-life attendees and they can commence to have a bang-up-no-holds-no-sides-everything-goes-aim-at-anybody real Wild West last man standing shoot out.
We can hire one of the big mouths from that so-called "nightclub" on Crawford Road to emcee the event. He shouldn't need a program for reference since the gangsta shootists are most likely regular customers at his raucous booty shakin events held at the "club" on weekends. The MC can spin his favorite indecipherable bass thumping Cop-Killing- Gangsta-Rap-Crap over the stadium speakers to add to the excitement .
Since you asked for a solution, I expect you are Macho Man enough to hang around the 50 yard line as referee while I quitely slip out and lock all the gates behind me in order to protect the public from any stray bullets. Maybe you should take along some body armor.
I'll call Walter Geiger and ask him to hurry down and snap lots of pictures for his publication. Afterwards, we can all place comments and discuss if this wasn't the correct solution that saved innocent law abiding citizens from the preying Barnesville thuggists.

I hope the young man comes through alright. Gun shots are not like you see on TV. They are ugly, nasty wounds that do a lot of damage most of the time. You don't put a bandage on it and go back to work in a day or two.

How about this example. For the black race to only account for 16-18% of the population, why do they account for more than 50% of crime? Its not because of their skin color. A really nice kid I know was shot by someone wanting his wheels. He is paralyzed now. Turned out the person who shot him had been stopped by the police for driving a stolen car and having a gun. He plea bargained out, just to go on and kill someone else and paralyze this kid a few weeks later.
IMO plea bargains and letting problem people run loose are behind many of the problems we have. I dislike all these plea deals and no bills.
I believe the County is looking for more industry like the composters so they can run them out for the sake of a couple of whiners that live nearby.
If one wants to see how tainted the judicial system is, read Tuesdays's edition of the Herald Gazette under Pardons and Paroles. There are three WINNERS who should still be behind bars. Early releases for long sentences. Funderburk gets a 40 year sentence for convictions in 2008 and 2010 and is back on the streets adding more burden to the taxpayer. Would you hire him or any of the bums standing around across from the BPD at the convenience store? They probably make more money slinging dope than you do running a legitimate business. All at the front door of the BPD. Amazing!

Yeah Anonymous, those arrests don't mean much. With the revolving door system of justice around here, their cases will probably be pleaded down to littering the sidewalk with Lovey's bleeding body. The robbery charge will probably be dropped because Lovey didn't have any money to steal. Also, since it was black on black crime, the process will be quick. Lovey will probably have a traumatic and instant loss of memory regarding the whole incident.

I recall Anthony Parson's Armed Robbery case was presented to the Grand Jury in March 2010. Don't know what happened. I do know he hasn't been holding down a high paying executive position with a national company by chillin up on Mill St.
Darnell Caslin's case for Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute was also to be presented to the March 2010 Grand Jury. Don't know what happened. I don't know anything about Jontravious Caslin except his daddy mama got so excited at that crying baby boy's birth, she forgot how to spell Jontavious correctly. I haven't been able to figure out the final dispositions of these thug's criminal cases, because I know the past history of our lenient local court system and our worn out penal system. This 'gaggle of gangstas' should by now, appeared in court, plea bargained, slapped on their wrists, partied in jail with homies, be "rehabilitated" and returned to Lamar County.
They will be welcomed back to town by their criminal counterparts while bringing "street cred" evidenced by newly inked prison tats displayed upon their bodies. They will now be able to continue milking the system of welfare largesse presented to them by liberal Mother Welfare and her large entitlement teats. I am NOT shocked they will receive public assistance.
I suggest we keep watchful eyes on future POLICE REPORTS for any return engagements.
It's mildly interesting that one of those arrested, career thuggist and proud 'baby daddy', Donnie Sullivan, 56, who stay up on 183 Mill St. lived so close to thuggist, Darnell Caslin, who was arrested last week as one of the perps who allegedly shot and robbed Lovey.

Let's see...183 Mill St. is reported to be the place where shot and bleeding Lovey Wilkerson was expertly whisked away by our responsive, casually attired emergency responders.
I know it's wild speculation on my part to think the Sullivans, Caslins and Wilkersons were more than nodding aquaintances as they smilingly passed each, with lunch pails in hand, enroute to their meaningful jobs down at the factory.
In NO WAY would I think the residents of 183 and 187 Mill St., whose nearness is just a gob of spit apart, would be engaged in illegal pharmaceutical sales or any type of criminal activity. Why, I could be mistaken, but, Lovey probably didn't know the Sullivans or Caslins.
I can't wait until the rainy season to arrive. I plan on spending hour after hour perusing the archives of this fine newspaper, especially the Sheriff and Police Reports, so I may become more aquainted with the names, addresses and published photos of the worthless criminal element who are poised to strike fear into the hearts of us old folks and relieve all helpless citizens of their money, property and their LIVES! Shocking!
